Torvalds is obsessed(ask he should be) with keeping the code clean. Once he is out of the picture I may go back to FreeBSD.

I played around with Linux years ago when you to had to compile it yourself. It has really taken off since then. I haven't used it in quite awhile as I'm just too dependent on Windows.
