Yes, I always thought you needed to have some hills to be a hillbilly, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc. Countrified is different.I got a 15 but I'm a country girl and spent a lot of time on my grandparents' farm... I'm not even sure how "hillbilly" would be defined, but I don't think it's synonymous with "country born and raised." At least I think of them differently.
I don't believe I knew you are from West Texas.35 out of 49, what can you expect from a West Texas lad?
Hmmm.... well I'm in the foothills of the Appalachians... and in fact, I can see them directly in front of my windows... but I'm not a hillbilly... or a redneck.Yes, I always thought you needed to have some hills to be a hillbilly, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc. Countrified is different.
No... whomever prepared this is not hillbilly at all...All but gathering wild ginseng. Ginseng is a hillbilly thing?
You have missed out on so much!3! I'm a city slicker.
And relieved!13/40 (no surprise)
#13--Drive a stick shift... (can I brag a little?) I have backed a 3/4 ton manual pickup truck up a curved/gravel driveway on a steep hill and did *not* put it in the gulch. My father-in-law was impressed =)
I was born in Nevada and later moved to Idaho when my mother remarried. Shortly after the end of WWII, we relocated to West Texas where I lived until I joined the Navy at the age of 17 after High School. I spent a lot of time working on various cotton farms as a teenager. We always lived in the country and were not far from the Mexican border. I never thought of myself as a redneck either, but I suppose 31 years in the Navy changes one's perspective on many, many things.I don't believe I knew you are from West Texas.I definitely never thought of you as a hillbilly.
Funny....one of my husband's nicknames for me was "Country Girl". How the hell he came up with that I'll never know! Well maybe I knew once but forgot.
