Grandson Day! Am staying for dinner--steak enchiladas! from dil's favorite Mexican restaurant. Yum. They taste even better nuked after a day in the fridge, if that's possible. I wrote myself a note to look at if I go crazy from Access A Ride. Hope I remember to look at it. Read it. Follow it. Fingers crossed. That this should even be an issue is a crime against my humanity. Last week ride home unbelievably bad. Driver 5 minutes from my home, gets call from dispatcher, goes right instead of left and takes me an additional 35 minutes. That really freaked me out, which doesn't help the situation, only makes it worse for me. Let us pray.

Whoopee !!.....dental work this morning. :(

I've got to have some dental work done this morning at 8:30 and one hour before the procedure I have take two .25mg tablets of Halcion which is a oral sedative......I've taken it before and it does it's job well but it also lingers so I'll be sorta in and out of it all day.

Yesterday I started my first day of frustration.
Applying for Old Age Pension,we are to apply as early as 6 months before our 65th birthday.
I applied for my Canada Pension Plan online, 6 months before my 60th birthday, and had good success.
But…..
I am struggling this time……if I remember, it seamed, I thought with CPP, was easier. 🧐🤔.
Seams like there’s so many more tasks to go through. 😳🤨🥴.
So, I will continue my frustration today. 🥴.

Yesterday they forecasted snow from today to Saturday, so I made a trip to the grocery to get a few things before supper.
We got about 1 / 2 inch last nite, right now it’s sunny and bright…..maybe will miss us somewhat.

Off to frustration now. 🥴😳🤨🧐🥴.

I went out for groceries yesterday. Two places, Aldi and Stop & Shop. I scored eggs at Aldi for 2.75 a dozen! Picked up some chocolate too.

OMG the wind was intense yesterday. It felt like zero degrees in the wind. I hate that. The darned wind pushed me along the sidewalk...thank goodness it was at my back.

I picked up some fancy, soft beef jerky for Doggie. The package stated "human grade". I smelled it and it smelled delicious. So, I gave her one right away and she trotted off to her rug to enjoy it.

I was still standing at the same counter putting stuff away when she came back and actually let out two little cries! She never cries for food and rarely for anything else. She loved that snack, so I gave her another and she was happy.

Iceberg lettuce is back down from $5.00 a head (!) to 1.25, but cookies are ridiculously high. I didn't buy either.

Went grocery shopping - I haven't been in 2 weeks. There seemed to be a lot of police activity. I saw a patrol car going in the opposite direction as I drove to the store. Okay, no biggie. Then I saw another one had a vehicle pulled over a little further on. When I came out of the store, there was a cruiser with flashing lights beside a car in the parking lot. On the way home there were 2 cruisers that had someone stopped. All the vehicles were black SUVs.

Well it's a winter wonderland out there, heavy snow today which started around early afternoon, so I'm amazed at how thick this snow is now it's dark, and it's still snowing.. 🌨️🌨️❄️⛄

Daughter rang. said there's only sleet where she is 70 miles away... no snow at all...

Got my order from Amazon of Solar decking lights for the steps. ..and some more flower solar lights for the pots in the borders...

Getting CPP at 60 was no problem. But they put me through hell for both OAS and GIS, for more than a year. Keep after them. If you don't, they'll ignore you.

Today, well ... 1 pm and I'm still in bed. I had some chocolate, so I guess that was brunch.

I have to remember to be gentle with myself in the winter.

I've skipped 2 days of exercise, so I'll try to do my exercises today. Probably Swiffer and laundry. That's enough for one afternoon.

Hosting the online trivia game tonight.

🍀It's a dull drab day today, with nothing planned. Dio (AKA 🐐) wanted to go for a walk in town, but when we got to the park, it was too cold and windy. So instead, we continued on our way, and went to Wal-Mart. Since there was nothing that I actually needed from Wal-Mart, we only spent $133.00.

🍀I just wanted you all to know that the local economy has been saved!!!

well you can't kid us.. you Trila... we know from this old song about you folks there in Arkansas.. and that $133.00 is only for them thar rich folks.. and you just mighta saved that economy after all...

Though the brambles took the cabin I was born in
And the briers reclaim the fields I used to plow
There's a yearning in my heart to be going To that forty acre patch God sow in sprouts.

Arkansas are your rivers still flowing Is your cotton growing white as snow
Are the squirrels a barking upon old Crowley's ridge
Has the girl I was sparking on gone and burned another bridge.
Arkansas, Arkansas.

I have known the troubles I was born to know I have wanted things a poor man's born to want
And in all my dreams and memories I go running
Through the fields of Arkansas from which I stroll.

Arkansas are your rivers still flowing Is your cotton growing white as snow
Do the young men still piddle with the thought of growing rich And slowly turn the old folks sittin' whittling on a stick.

Arkansas, Arkansas...

One of favourite old country songs.. I have it as my ringtone..lol...

That was awesome @hollydolly thank you!!! 😘

@RadishRose Our bakery cookies keep going up and up. When I started there about 1 1/2 years ago, they were $2.99 for a box of 16. Now they're...$5! People keep buying them, though.

@hollydolly Holy cow! It's March and sNOwing? What happened to spring?

Our warm sunny days end today. Rain starting tomorrow with temps in the 50s/60s and downright cold at night in the upper 30s/low 40s for the next 10 days. I may have to crawl in a hole and pull the hole in after me.

So...there's a union-related charity that got a grant from USDA for "covid-related expenses" and is giving $600 to every employee who qualifies and applies, and it's not necessary to be a union member. Requirement is that applicant was employed during the worst of the pandemic. I was, so I applied, of course. It's not a king's ransom, but it'll be nice to get. At first I thought it was some sort of scam, but nope; it's real. Just waiting for confirmation email that I've been approved. Fingers crossed🤞, although so far I haven't heard of anyone who's applied and been denied.

And further in the good news department, this week's paycheck has that $2/hr increase on it, retroactive to February 5. Of course, the taxes on it are high because it's included with last week's pay, but still a nice little chunk of change.

So far, I have walked 2.3 miles and climbed 10 flights of stairs.

Watered part of the yard with the hose and worked on my sprinkler system. I have more help coming tomorrow to help repair a broken pipe and to track down a broken buried control wire. (I swear this fellow is part mole by the way he manages to locate breaks.)

Did my regular morning chores: kitchen cleanup, using blower to get some of this pollen off the porch and patio.

Getting ready to do a little weightlifting.

Sent a birthday greeting to my younger brother who is turning 75.

So far, a fairly good day, or at least no one has messed it up yet.

Thanks for the input, NorthernLight.
I applied for my CPP online at 60….no problem.
I just started the process for OAS yesterday.
I’m sure I’m lacking brain matter since my CPP.
BC has somewhat different accesses than here.
I’m trying to figure out whether I need to apply…..some info says I may not have to ?????🥴😳🧐.
I will bite the bullet if I have to and call…..how many minutes of elevator music to hold ?????
Or……get my financial advisor to do and check into it……or…..my accountant.
Have got lots of frustration to start off with it tomorrow.
When I did the CPP, I had a personal access code……seems like it may have expired.
So……I set up a GCKEY YESTERDAY…..🥴🥴🥴…..confused me all to h*** 🥴🥴🥴.

Tailoring more shirts because I'm short and the shirts didn't come in petite. Therefore, I like them but don't wear them because the fit is not right.
Once hemmed I'll wear them a lot. They are gauze and great in summer over tees and tanks.
I need you to live near me, I always have to take shirts to the tailor to have the hems taken up if I don't want them to be hanging across my hips..

Crap, I buy them to go past my hips and rear end. Lord, do I wish I had your problem!! I prefer oversized to hide the back end and the belly protrusion. I am not so much overweight, I am a bit fluffy that I try to make more agreeable.

When the day didn’t go on the usual schedule, I realized I’m set in my ways. Instead of sipping on morning coffee and reading on my ipad, I had to get showered and dressed. My DDs and DGD were arriving in the morning instead of the evening as I thought. Lots of bedlam and chatter, because that’s how we operate. They were exhausted and did their best to stretch the day out to stay active until 8/11 PM. They failed. Some grocery shopping, mall shopping and then out to dinner.

I’m sure tomorrow will be more of the same. They’ll be coming and going. They have other family and friends to meet up with.
