Having cataract surgery today.

Had both eyes done a year ago, finished in Apr '22. Only tip I can offer is keep the drops going until the bottles are empty, Wear dark glasses when going out and whatever you do DON'T tell your Doctor you read about how to treat them from the internet! They hate that more than anything. Other than that it was the best thing I've had done.

I had mine done a couple of years ago. I was a lot more nervous with the first one than I expected to be but everything went well and the second one seemed much easier for me. I would give the same advice everyone here did and add that you will be so happy you had them done, maybe not immediately, but soon. (y)

My doctor didn't have me far enough under so I could feel enough that I had night mares for a year after that. I am in need of the second eye surgery and have a new doctor.
My husband developed some type of common issue years after he had his done, it was a simple fix that was just using a laser to clean off the new lens. Have your eyes checked at least yearly to stay on top of things.
Be sure to follow the doctor's orders and your recovery will be fine.

I had the same thing happen with my first cataract surgery. I was aware during the surgery and started crying so they had to stop it and finish it with lasers later. During my second cataract surgery, they put me under general anesthesia and that went much better. If you happen to have too much pain or a scratched eye after the surgery, they have a special contact lens that they can put on it while it heals and it takes the pain away.

Use as directed!!! Prolonged use can overload the eye and cause other problems later.
I agree with this.
Some of the script eyedrops are meant for shorter term use, so there would be leftover in the bottle. There are a few different types they will give you.

The doctor will give you specific instructions, for how long to continue with each of the different drops. They are different from each other.
