When Will You Start Your Spring Cleaning?

I haven't been able to do much around here lately.
I keep the kitchen clean. Do my grocery shopping and CVS needs.

I'll be having a heart procedure done in a couple of weeks, after that I can get busy.. Never thought I'd be so excited about cleaning my house. :)

Till then, I'll be following my cardiologists instructions to 'take it easy' and 'don't over do it'.

Once we get temperatures into the 60s again, I'm going to clean the garage, so that's when I'll start my spring cleaning. I still have boxes in the garage that haven't been unpacked since I moved in last year, and rakes and shovels need to be hung on the wall, and some furniture that needs to be sold on Craigslist. It will be nice to have a garage that is more than just a place to store crap with the exception of a little space for the SUV.

Live alone now, whenever I can spring up from a chair and clean I get it done. I try and keep up with everything when needed. Let's just say I am no longer obsessed to keep it all spotless, the best I can do will have to do. Wait for the son to do the high stuff. Use the vacuum on the curtains and drapes to keep the dust under control. I am in a large house, way above what I need but for now it is cheaper to stay here than sell and go to an apartment. I also have the yard for the pups. The son is good about taking care of the yard and the high stuff I can no longer do.

Come on let's not include the garage. I have one side filled with things from when our best family friend passed. I have done this more than once when people I loved have passed. It is not as bad as previous times. There are some things out there that might be needed as I age, wheelchairs, bedside commodes, knee walkers etc. I know I need to go thru, I am sure there are many things out there to donate but I just have not been able to go do it, mentally or physically.

I don't think Lorie stops... She's always ripping a cupboard apart, and cleaning it out... She's always threatning the garage and workshop... Been here two years this August, and still haven't got the garage and shop set up... Just can't get into it... Maybe this Spring...

Not until after "Green Sh!t Season" is over. Green Sh!t is pollen. There's so much of it that this morning I cleaned off my little patio table, got my coffee and went back out to more on the patio table. While I was sitting there, I was watching it settle on the red windbreaker that I wear out there when the weather is cool. No kidding.

Yesterday's pollen count was 1600+ grams per cubic meter. That's just shy of being an extremely high count. For us? It's not bad at all, considering that when the weather warms up it's not unusual for it to be 3000+.
