What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

Conan The Barbarian — Arnold Schwarzenegger at his best. Lots of heads flying and bones breaking, free and probably pricey to make, but yawn.
You didn't like it? A boyfriend took me to see it 40 years ago. I didn't think I'd like it, but I did!

Of course, if I saw it now, I might not like it. Who knows?

An absolutely horrible movie called Metal Tornado with Lou Diamond Phillips. I only watched it because of Lou, I like his acting. But the movie...OMG. (n)(n)(n)

I streamed Sing 2 the other day from Netflix, being a fan of anthropomorphic animals and so secretly a viewer of kid’s movies and cartoons. It’s clever and smart in addition to being tuneful, with recognizable contemporary music performed by the original artists. There are underlying themes of dealing with loss and holding onto your dreams...a senior lion (below) voiced by U-2‘s Bono even stages a comeback! So grab a kid and watch it, or see it by yourself…I won’t tell on you!

You aren't alone. I think the Toy Story movies are adorable! :censored:

Watching "American Friends" from 1993, set in Oxford, England in the mid-1860's by the look of the ladies' gowns. A young Alfred Molina, Trini Avarado, and Michael Palin star. Very Edith Wharton/ EM Forester/ Henry James-esque story. Love it! (And glad I don't have to wear those ridiculous dresses/ corsets!!!)

There’s a dark but powerful horror film streaming on Netflix called “The Platform.” It’s set in a future prison built like a tower with many levels, and a central core through which inmates are fed by means of a platform loaded with food at the top, but which is then lowered to each level with inmates being given a limited time to feed off the same fare. Those at the top feed sumptuously, which those at lower levels are left with the dregs, and those at the bottom practice cannibalism. Your level may be arbitrarily changed by the system.

A societal metaphor, perhaps? Quite disturbing, and not to be watched while you’re eating! 🙀
