Fresh Mexico news.

As I mentioned in another post:

Mexico is by far the most dangerous country in the world 👇 , why would anyone without armed guards and bulletproof vehicles go there is beyond me.

Note that the only non-Mexican city in the top 10 most dangerous is New Orleans, mayor LaToya Cantrell.

She has really messed NOLA up. I have a fun group of women friends in Baton Rouge who used to go there all the time and they're scared to go now.
Oh, no, how can that be ⁉️ I thought she's overqualified and next in line for the WH VP position ...

Any guesses as to how many of those people went to Mexico to purposely "get missing?" I wouldn't think they were all kidnapped or killed. Or...????
Good question but I have a hunch that, in most cases, the authorities know who's "missing" on purpose (criminals/fugitives) and who is ... 'benefitting from the cartels' hospitality' ...

The US Border Patrol has their hands full on a daily basis ..just trying to put a dent in the Mexican gangs and drugs coming over the border.
Thinking of all the activity going on down there is mind-boggling.

I wasn't really thinking of fugitives or anyone authorities would know about... more like people "running away from home and responsibilities" who do not want to be found. Not that they'd done anything wrong, just to run away and "start over."

It Is scary, Evada. Things may get worse in the next few weeks as young people on spring break go south.

Today, this hit the news ... three women from Texas are now missing in Mexico.

Three women are believed to be missing in Mexico after they crossed the US border traveling from Texas to sell clothes at a flea market over two weeks ago, police told CNN on Saturday.

Marina Perez Rios, 48, her sister Martiza Trinidad Perez Rios, 47, and their friend Dora Alicia Cervantes Saenz, 53, crossed into Mexico on February 24, Roel Bermea, the Peñitas, Texas police chief, told CNN on Saturday.

The group was heading to the city of Montemorelos in the Mexican state of Nuevo León to sell clothes at a flea market, Bermea said. The flea market is about a 3-hour drive south from the US border.

I see, that’s a valid point. Although why would anybody (not hunted by the long arm of the law, cos he’s no criminal) want to start a new life in the most dangerous country in the world? America is, by far, the most dangerous country in the developed world, but still way behind our neighbors.

OTOH when people cross the border they can go anywhere in Latin America and still be labeled “Missing in Mexico” …

Before you go too far, there are no politics on this forum, especially not the sly remarks you're currently getting away with.

Agreed. Dial it down, @Evada. Sorry I opened the door for that exaggerated snark with a personal story related to NOLA crime under her administration....admittedly a problem time out of mind there, but it's truly the most dangerous US city now. Despite the WH VP dig he made, no one is happy with Mayor Cantrell. Her approval rating is tanking across the board and there's actually a petition to recall her.
