All that said, OP, is there a reason your questions can't just be asked in a post? And could a man in his 50s.... or 70s.... or 80s... not answer the same questions? Ooops, sorry @Bella ... I quoted your post instead of the one I wanted to quote.

I'm thinking it wouldn't be the question that would be inappropriate, but rather asking for private email contact when the PM system right here in the forum would be the route to take. But "personal questions" asked to strangers on the Internet... not comfortable with that and probably not many people would be.

Mggs, as Fuzzybuddy said your profile is incomplete for the most part. That alone would make anyone male or female reluctant to answer any questions you have.

Not me, but I see nothing wrong with the question, as @George1959 says using the PM thing would be fine.
@Mggs11 you can just PM someone and ask. Might be more successful than waiting for a response here. I think our PM system is just as safe as the open forum.
