What have you bought recently?

This is sooooo exciting! DD texted me at work this morning and asked me to pick up a bottle of barbeque sauce for her. I did. I frittered away her inheritance. It cost $2.38 including tax.

Aren't y'all jealous that you don't get to go shopping with me?💸💸 I have money to throw away.

I live for the days when you tell us what you've bought... :p

I have a 3.5 qt Martha Stewart saucepan in my Amazon cart, so it doesn't count as a purchase. I'll let you know when I press the button and make it official.
I have every other size saucepan except this which is the one I need the most.
I used to have Visions cookware. The dutch oven split in half and that turned me off. Lucky no food in it. Also, they were so heavy to pull out of the cabinet.
I actually won a set of Basic Editions cookware at a special thing at Sears in the 90's. It's inexpensive but it is light so I got rid of the Visions.
I have cast iron when I need a heavy pot or pan and a nice big, good quality stainless steel skillet that's light.
That's my pan story and I'm sticking to it!

Well, after burning out 2 Holley electric fuel pumps at roughly $200 apiece, I decided to finally read all the directions and discovered that I have been installing them all wrong. Duh. I placed the pump on it's side in the engine compartment and was never pleased with the 3 psi instead of the normal 7psi.
After reading the instructions, I found you are supposed to mount it UPRIGHT, and close to the fuel tank as they are a pump designed to push fuel, not pull it. Warning label clearly stated that mounting horizontal would shorter the life of the pump. :(
So, now I'm under the rear of the car trying to figure where to fabricate some brackets to mount that baby back there. (no easy task) Oh the joys of owning a hotrod.

@squatting dog, I can't say I am not giggling. My husband and my son are famous for not reading directions. They only realize something is wrong when they have parts left over. Me, I read the directions and I still can't figure some stuff out. Now that I live alone, I am a big fan of google and you tube.
Yeah... not to bright on my part. You'd think after the first 2, I'd have figured that maybe... just maybe, I was doing something wrong. Nope, I was all set to mount the new one right back in the same spot. :ROFLMAO: As the wife would say.... Idiot.

I went to the pharmacy and picked up a new script the orthopedist sent in for me. I was surprised and thrilled to see she gave me a 90 day supply of my nausea medication. The other doctor only gave me 30 at a time. The cost was only $6.61 with my insurance. Over the counter meds cost much more.

I went to the grocery, restocked the snack cabinet, ravioli and hot dogs for simple meals when I don't feel like cooking. Dog food of course. The weather here is going to be cold again. I am so happy, the big question is what comfort food/soup to make? I have a corned beef in the freezer so I picked up some rye bread. I can see nice hot toasty Ruebens in the near future for St. Pattys Day. This is a tradition of my husband's family, so is standard for me. I will have the son come over and pick up part of the ingredients so they can enjoy it as well.

Please let me know how you like your new phone Mike. I may have to get another one soon and I prefer it be a Samsung. I'd like to know if it takes good pictures...clear and true to color.
I have always loved Samsung Phones, pretty much anything Samsung...Our house is filled with Samsung Products... I love our new S 23... Takes wonderful pics... Now, I am not sure what the difference of the Samsung S 23 Ultra... But anyhow, I think You'll be happy with the Samsung S 23...

I think all men, including myself, don't read instructions... We just dive into it, and sometimes it works...Sometimes it doesn't, but I know it frustrates the hell out of Lorie...

@mike4lorie, I learned along time ago to step back and let them at it. I think the funniest time was when my husband and a couple of friends were putting new tile in a bath. They called me into to look at it. I said "I love it but aren't the pipes supposed to stick out for the new fixtures?" Let's say they had to revise their work! LOL

My daughter just had a lesson in reading the directions. They installed a washer and first time using it, it jumped across the floor and ruined the floor. Yes, she left it unattended-second mistake.
As suggested, she started trouble shooting and they missed the part about the delivery bolts that need to be removed so the tub can spin. Expensive lesson.
Glad you figured yours out. Must have been frustrating but we all make mistakes!

So did you try to get them replaced under warranty? Most of the time when I screw up I just eat the loss but sometimes you just got to medigate your losses if possible!

Just so you know: I bought nothing today (because I didn't go anywhere to spend money). Besides, after paying federal tax yesterday... Thank goodness tomorrow is the day Rocking Chair Money* hits my account. Then Thursday, bakery paycheck hits. I'll be in the chips...

*for the uninformed, Rocking Chair Money is Social Security
