What have you bought recently?

Ordered a new watch today. It should be here Friday. It’s a bit of an addiction. It’s been on my mind, so I did it and will pass the old one down to my DD or DGD.

Today I put the new mattress topper I bought the other day on the guest bed. It’s made a huge difference. That was money well spent.

yes Diva, I found them, but they had terrible reviews unfortunately...
HD I've had my turbans for several years and they get washed frequently in the industrial washer. Sometimes I put them in mesh laundry bags, sometimes I don't. The little piece up top came loose in one of the black ones after several washings and part of the back stitching came loose on another but those were easily fixed. I noticed one reviewer said they were too big and slid off her head. I sleep in mine every night and that has never happened to me, but maybe my head is larger than hers. A couple of them fit differently than the rest (my first order was a pack of 10 or 12), but that's not a big issue for me, they still fit. With those, I turn the top piece to the side a bit and it looks kind of snazzy. The new turbans are made like the old ones and the quality seems to be the same. The only thing is that the teal one is about two shades darker than what was shown. I am happy with my purchases.

Made to measure clothing is my addiction, when I bought my green striped blazer I found it a difficult choice given that I loved the blue too. The green blazer is wonderful, so much so that I went back.

The green striped blazer is complimented with silver grey trousers. The same trousers are acceptable with the blue blazer but I have just ordered the fabric for an ivory coloured pair of trousers. Here's a swatch of the colour, I doubt that you will be able to see it clearly, it's the colour of the lighter piano keys.

One visit with the PA at the orthopedist, check up,5 minutes later, a $140.00 dollars. That is just my copay, I have great insurance. To me that is ridiculous, my copay is 15% of the cost of the visit. No wonder people put off or skip going in for a follow up. I did it because I started new medication, if I did not show, they would not provide the refills. She did say I could do a televisit next time. Wonder what that will cost?

Went by Aldi, mainly to restock aluminum foil, used to be $1.99 for 75 ft., now $3.96 a roll. Also, I have been reading about this Aldi red bag chicken. Chicken breast, breaded, that is supposed to be so good. I picked some up to try it. It is supposed to be close to what Chick Filet uses on their sandwiches. Have you tried this? I will let you know if it is worth the costs, about $2 a breast.

We went out shopping today, our second trip, as we were worried that we may got snowed in with all the weather warnings.

Daughter wanted to as it's coming up for a few special dates coming up in March.

17 March / St Patrick's Day. No lamb mince in store today, for Shepherd's Pie.
19 March / Mothering Sunday. Daughter wanted to get a special gift for my first one without hubby. (She bought new one cup hot water dispenser for me...)

I bought a flexible extension shower hose so that the shower head can now reach our seat so we can rinse our hair without standing up anymore.

Also, we bought each other, for each our birthdays, the cutest wee backpacks handbags from our favourite import shop downtown. Italian made at rock bottom prices.

Mine's black with a bumblebee and took all my junk from my large backpack which was heavy on arthritic shoulder bone. Hers is grey with double good rings united. We love them. Can't wait to try them on first time😃

Daughter didn't want to wait till Mother's Day to use it. It's a Breville. It dispenses 250mL (8 Oz) of hot water within 40 seconds. Great gadget replaces our old 1.5L kettle which after 8 years died yesterday.
