I received a letter from the Department of Human Services

Medicare Benefits.

You need to identify any Medical benefits provided in relation to the compensable injury.
This is to make sure the amount you need to repay us is correct

If you do not do this by the due date, all services listed on the statement will need to pay the total amount.

Then there is a list of Doctors Appointments, listed only by an item number - 57521 ?
The charge for that item and the benefit paid.

How am I suppose to know what item number 57521 was?

The list total is over $600.
Looks like I will need advice from the Insurance Company, QBE.

All residents are covered by Medicare and pay a Medicare levy.
Those with Private Insurance receive a rebate.
People who are working and do not have Private Health Insurance pay a Medicare Levy Surcharge.

An apophyseal joint is a point where two or more bones join in the spine.

The femur is your thigh bone. It's the longest, strongest bone in your body.
so you had some type of condition with the spine/femur hip or you had no medical condition concerning your spine or leg bones than this is probably a scam......i would check first before paying

I checked the code for Australia - 57521 relates the Medical imaging. Which would correspond to imaging done on my broken ankle.

I received more that $5000 compensation.
If I had received less than $5000 then the payments become null and void.
As it is, my compo was more and Medicare are saying I need to pay back benefits paid to the Doctors. Even though QBE Insurance handled all the payments.
This letter should have gone to QBE, not me.

If this isn't a scam, then it's much worse- fending your way through legalistic Medicare rules and regulations. We pray for those, who are entering the pits of hell.
