Along with regular AM stuff, I cleaned out the candles from the fireplace and replaced them with the terracotta urn I use for warmer weather.

Then off to have lunch with my older granddaughter, who made honor roll this grading period.

Unscheduled pickup from school of younger granddaughter ... home, freshen up, back to school. I'm still scratching my head over that one; I need to talk with my daughter about it (she was working)

Home by 3pm and crashed in bed, woke up at 6pm. So I guess I'll be awake for a while

Thank you everyone,
I miss my Toby, it's dinner time and he is not here. Here is a picture from when he was young.
He and his sister were ferals. Had them since they were 5 months old. Toby was a lap cat. His sister
(who we still have) is the total opposite. She is skiddish, even after all these years. But we love her.
Toby is the orange one.

They are both precious and beautiful. I know how heartbroken you are. Sending you love and hugs.

You've inspired me to pay closer attention to flowers, GG.

While the bank clerk managed paperwork yesterday, I gazed out the large windows and marveled at their gorgeous birds of paradise plants. When we moved to CA, my mother was smitten by them. Turns out to have also been my MIL's favorite and both had them in their gardens.

No idea why DH & I never thought to plant them, but we will now. He'll grab a few plants when he hits the nursery in a week or two.

For anyone unfamiliar with birds of paradise the plant itself is quite large, as are the flowers, rather like calla lilies. The flowers really do look a lot like birds with colorful upper plumage.

I loved that plant, and its flowers. Thank you for the wonderful memory of them!

Well...yesterday was not a good day. While preparing the cabbage, I slices my thumb, BAD. I almost went to the ER for stiches, but at the last moment I decided to "home care" the wound. I kept on wrapping it up in gauze, over and over, because of all of the bleeding. (Just sayin': all of those dishes to wash!!! And then a shower!!! I was back to wearing a plastic bag, with rubber band, over my hand!) By the time I was ready for bed, most of the bleeding had stopped. I was able to rinse the blood off, and hold the cut closed by applying a tight bandaid. At least that was better for sleeping with, instead of the bulky gauze. 🤕

Today, Dio is sicker than ever, and he has a temp of 103°. 🤒 I just made an appointment for him to see his APN. We'll be leaving in about 30 minutes.

Sorry, I have to run! Enjoy your day!
Very sorry, Trila!!!!! :cry:That your thumb got such a cut, and that your Dio is sick!
We are thinking of both of you ❣️

Stressful and draining outing for me, to have a mammogram, today, after an exhausting outing for bloodwork earlier this week. The technician today was excellent, though, which helped the experience. She was better at the job, than most any I've ever had. Wish they would let people request!

On the plus side, the weather was unusually pleasant, and while out, I got to see a few nature things that I enjoyed and rarely get to see any more!

Allium bulbs just barely but coming up, out of the ground!

And a tree, that we chose and bought and donated for a local cemetery, some years ago, in memory of a dear family member. I love to see it when I can, to watch it grow over the years. It obviously survived all of our recent winter storms and looks strong and healthy!

Good spring morning! Maggiecat must have known that I was excited for the day to start because she sat on the bed and looked at me until I woke up at regular wake-up time.

I'm gonna get the laundry started so that maybe by daylight (7:38am today) I can get out in the garden and get started.

@katlupe How many days/week does your aide come to help you?

Good morning Ladies, Gents...
Thursday already... Well up... slept off and on... but got more sleep than the few past days... Going to go to the gym in about 2 hours or so... Have a friend who came down here for a test at the hospital, and then stopped in. We worked together about 40 years ago... Talk to each other on Messenger for the last few years, but have not seen each other for 40 years, well he's stopping in after his test later this morning...

Also, have the brother-in-law that I saw yesterday, he's coming later for a few days since his wife is going out with my nieces to look at wedding dresses this weekend, so he, and Charlie, and his pup are coming out for the weekend... Have a few small jobs I need to do, and is always good to have a second-hand around... The fire alarm keeps going off for no reason.... So I think it's done, it's hard-wired into the house, so want to put a wireless one in that will connect with the ECO thermostat I put in last year...

And the guy I had put in our hardwood floors in before we moved into this house, have him coming over to talk about tiny houses... He builds them now also besides renovations... Lorie's cousin, the one she went down to enjoy the next 9 days within Florida... Thinking of putting a tiny house on the property for her... So, have lots of questions to ask of him... He will be here this afternoon also...

So, Have a pretty busy day ahead of me... So I hope YOU all have a GREAT day... and God Bless YOU all

I'm really p'd off . Since I had that filling last Friday I've been in more pain with a tooth than I was before I went to the dentist.. can't eat, brush my teeth , etc.. too painful. Different tooth.
I think what's happened is when she did a deep clean she might have uncovered a hole in another tooth without realising.. so it's been really painful all week. Just rung them and I have to go back this afternoon.. grateful they can see me of course, but the last thing I needed was the pain of a drill today... plus I had important things to do today,..and the dentist is in the next town.. ..and it's raining hard... *sigh* 😖

I have experienced the same after a deep clean. Ir just seems to cause inflammation of the gums an makes the teeth sensitive to hot, cold or sweets. Funny thing is right now I am going through sensitive phase even though I have not been to the dentist but I do tend to have teeth pain with my migraines. In your case hopefully it is just inflammation from the cleaning. The dentist has told me to rinse with warm salt water after a cleaning for a few days and that seems to work.

To day Ive set Zinnia Seeds in the Green House ,its warmer in there than in my little Bungalow .
I gobbled up my little child size Easter Egg yesterday and enjoyed every mouthful .
I had a Delivery of a Leather Suitcase I bought for my Son yesterday , a Thank you for his caring kindness He was chuffed to bits with it .

On the subject of Teeth Hygenist , I dont bother after all what Ive read about them , Hope @hollydolly you get some pain relief today , tooth pain is the worst I think , like what @Blessed said it can lead to other pain .And when I was troubled with pain , Dentist told me to rinse with Salt water , I some times get food trapped under the gum , it worked for me ..
Have a nice day everyone ..

I've tried rinsing with salt water, but it's so painful even to use my inter-dental brushes or my toothbrush..even using warm water instead of cold to brush my teeth..:(..it's so painful now it's giving me a headache..

Groan.......setting at this pc groaning cause I have lost access
to my home page in yahoo, which means I have lost access
to my prime e-mail account, which means I may have difficulty

Morning all....got the results from my colonoscopy yesterday......severe diverticulitis and he removed one polyp and it was precancerous......so....as hard as it was for me to do this test, it's a good thing I did it....
@hawkdon , I also had trouble logging into my chrome account this morning, a few days ago, I got a notice Google wanted me to add something to my account for more security, I just blew it off and did not do it, but now I guess I'll have to add it.:(

Thanks, my friend!!! 💗

I just took off my bandaid. I'm letting my thumb "air out" while I have my coffee.

It looks ok, no signs of infection, etc. But the skin around the cut is white, like when you are in the water for too long. As long as I'm just sitting here, I'll leave it uncovered.

Dio said that he's still sick, but right now he seems to be better. He hasn't checked his temp, but it was starting to go down last night.

So, maybe it will be a better day, today!
