Impromptu Zoom?

She has put the information on her profile so you only need click on her icon (and maybe again on her name) to reach her profile and the link should be there. :)
Okay. Thanks! But if I participate I'll be Karin this time too. I know you told me and wrote how to change the name, but if I forget to change it a second time my wife would be George at her next Zoom meeting. She wouldn't be amused🤣.

@PeppermintPatty (and everyone attending RightNow's Zoom today)
It felt a little intrusive to answer on @RightNow's Profile page so:

Exactly. Click on the link on @RightNow's profile page and it will take you to a zoom launch page (I just tried it and I did get an intermediate page wherein I had to confirm where I wanted to go, but it worked once I confirmed), then click on "Launch Meeting."
Zoom might try to tell you that you need to download it's app. You don't. If that pops up, ignore it and hit the launch button.

More info. while we're here:

Your camera will be off when you come on and if you wish to be on camera you only need click on the icon, which should be located in the lower left corner of your screen, next to the mic icon.

There is a chat bar option (bottom of the screen between "participants" and "share screen", which you can turn on should you wish to participate via text. I think @PeppermintPatty might be doing that so I'm going to turn my chat bar on right away. :)

There are options in the way you can view others, e.g., gallery (where everyone's picture is visible all the time), Speaker, wherein only the person currently speaking is seen and Immersive - I don't know what that does. LOL Also, you can hide your own video from yourself in the same options, "Hide Self View."

You can change the name appearing on your video by clicking the three dots at the top right corner of your video, not of the screen as a whole, but on your video itself.

I'm assuming my icon directions apply to PC's, but will hopefully be useful across platforms.

Thanks Medusa, according to my husband this meeting should start soon. I hope I got that right,!
You're so welcome. :)
I'm worried about the time thing though cause it doesn't actually start for five hours, which should be five hours for you, whatever time it is on your clock.

As an aside, once the time is figured out, do you want to do a quick practice Zoom with just me to make sure it's working for you and you're comfortable with the, "controls?"
