Ever Just Feel Like Buying Something?

I'm not an impulse shopper. However .. earlier today, I was looking at jewellery (that I don't need), and Belgian chocolates (which I also don't need). I think it was just boredom. It passed.

The bride looked at several wedding gowns today.

One gown in particular I liked on her,, but she was there to learn what size she needed.

She has found a gown online that is white with camo edging.
I think she went home & ordered it.

By going with them today,, sounds like I'm to help with decorating, etc.

Well,, that makes my Summer more fun doesn't it?:giggle:

Yes I do. I guess I'm a dichotomy. I'm a shopper and a saver. I've been shopping a lot on Amazon lately. Half of it has been for our kitten. Besides supermarket shopping I also bought a lot at Costco and Dollar Tree in the last two weeks. I do try to stick to needs not wants, but that doesn't always happen. :D

I have 2 grand daughters,, don't think either of them is planning on getting married soon.

As for social life around here, clean jeans & nice top is the expected wear for outings.

Today ,, I wore dark brown jeans & a nice sweater,, shoes matched my jeans.
Bride to be wore a ugly sweat shirt & jeans , cowboy boots.
Groom's mother had plaid shirt under zip sweat shirt & dark pants.o_O

I ,,felt like ,,OOOPS,, should have asked what they were going to wear???

Sometimes I'll buy it, and sometimes I'll resist. It depends on what it is. I have my weaknesses. 🥴

A few months ago, I spied my favorite vintage perfume on eBay. It's difficult to find the real deal, the original formula. I have a lot of name-brand perfumes, but I haven't bought any commercial perfume in ages since I now prefer natural fragrances without the additives. I pondered because I certainly need no more perfume, but... this perfume in its original form won't be available forever, and eventually I won't be able to find it at all, so I went for it. I've only worn it twice since I bought it, but knowing I have it makes me happy! 😊

In the fancy store where we took the bride to be...
Saw some lovely outfits suitable for the mother or grandmother of a bride.

Just looked , thought,,,'no where to wear this'.:cry:
I wouldn't mind having one nice outfit. If I saw something nice, that was comfortable and affordable, and that fit me, I'd buy it. I don't think such a thing exists though.

Shopping for the kitten. Love it. 😻

Yes, I had the urge to..and did..
Then I read my horoscope for that day..said I should buy something not too expensive..
So..it kinda worked.
Not that I really believe in that stuff...
I just thought 🤔how coincidential.

I never feel guilty about spending money....the economy needs it. After Covid, so many shops closed down because people were not able to get out and buy things. I've discovered a new 'emporium'...one of those stores where you go in for one thing and come out with all sorts of things you didn't know you needed. It's actually enjoyable to wander round and see things that take your fancy.
I've just been checking over my plants and there are a few things which didn't survive the winter. I'm now planning a trip to the garden centre for replacements.

I love going to fabric stores. When I was a little girl my grandmother was a seamstress and I would go with her to large fabric stores. 😊

I went to Joann’s fabric the other day to get backing fabric for a quilt I was making. As I went up to cashier (no one else was there except the cashier) he said “how are y’all doing today” and as I was leaving he said “y’all have a good day”. I was smiling as I left thinking my grandmother must be with me. 😊 💕
