Biggest news out of Uganda since Idi Amin

There are ignorant people in all countries. Even if someone can't imagine how someone else could want to be gay, the simple fact is, that gay people have always been among us, and they are not going any place. These backward idiots should just accept the fact that there will always be people that are different. Then maybe they can get on with their lives and be more productive.

This has the potential of turning into a "witch hunt" like happened in Salem, doesn't it? All an enemy has to do is report someone as being gay and... then what? Prison? Or a kangaroo court? I'm an overthinker most times, but in a place like Uganda, perhaps all it would take would be some guy who hates Johnny saying "Johnny se**ally attacked me" and off he goes for the rest of his life? Such 17th century foolishness. 😡

If you get the chance watch the documentary “God loves Uganda”. You will see how religious agenda has pushed this. Sickening.
I've watched a part of the movie, stating that "American Evangelicals are all powerful in Uganda". These words are from Rev. Kaoma, who came from Zambia to Uganda and had to flee after supporting LGBT rights.
Wiki writes "The category of Evangelical/Pentecostal/Born-Again showed the most growth, rising from 4.7% in 2002 to 11.1% in 2018."
About 40 percent are members of the Roman Catholic Church, 32 percent of the Anglican Church. Both churches have lost members to the Evangelical/Pentecostal/Born-Again churches.
