There are all kinds of terms used to address a significant other. A funny one I head in a movie once was "ducky poo". And I have used "honey poo"🤣

What have you used or heard? I know there will be a lot of good ones and funny ones as well ❤️‍🩹

I call my wife Shug quite often....it's short for Sugar.

I'm 57 and my 86 year old mother still calls me Patty-Pooh when she sees me. Aah, you're always your parent's baby regardless of age I suppose.

I love this thread. :)

Lemme see... Honey, My Darling, Baby, Babe, Kitten, Pet, My Girl, Baby Girl, Princess, Petal... and I think that's it.

I call others: Honey, Baby, Babe, Darling, Love, Lover, Sexy... can't think of any others.

My daughters I call: My Girl, Sweet Girl, Butterfly or Ladybug (depending on the daughter).

And my Son: My Son... and My Moon... and My Stars. (Which I'd like to point out started when he was around 4 y/o, way before J.R.R. Martin made it famous. ;)

What happened to all the cute emojies, @Alligatorob?
Oh, Pfft. I'm being lame. Just noticed those are part of the post and not part of your reaction to my post. See, I got a notice about it (like we all do) and there were all these little emojies and I thought... Please ignore me. I missed rehearsal. :censored:

I gave a friend of my mother a nickname. She had several recipes that called for "Nutmeg" so, she became "Nutmeg"

Mom actually thought it funny. Called her that a few times and she seemed to actually like the nickname.

Oh wow. Soooo many terms of endearment for my loved ones! 🤩 I am the QUEEN of endearments in my family.

I call Ron primarily Baby. But there’s also honey pie, lover, sexy, sweetie, honey, darlin’, lovely, sweet cheeks, darling heart, baby doll.

All of my kids get honey, sweetie, darlin’, lovely.

Paige is also called Paigee Poo, baby girl, dudette, Paigee Poozle Woozle.

Corey is Cor, Coricimus, Ace, Corey-Corey.

Grayson is Gray, G-Man, Scooter, Scoots, Scooter Doots, G-Money, G

Devin is Dev, Devvie-Wevs, Muffin, Devvie, Muffin Man, Muffer-Duffs

Cameron is Cam, Cammer-Man, Wham, whammer-Man, Cammie-Wham.

And all the boys are Baby Boy.

Keep in mind, the youngest is 34, the oldest is 50. They sometimes cringe when I use these endearments in public or certain company. 😂 I try and restrain myself but I’ve been calling each of them these names their whole life!

It should also be noted that they call each other some of these names as well!! 😂

My boyfriend, Sonny calls me baby. I usually call him honey bunny but sometimes just darling.

I call my son Jeffie or honey.

Friends call me kat depending on how well they know me.

I would always refer to someone special by their name or a love pet-name, but never, never, never, never ever, as a 'significant other', and I would feel insulted to be refered to as such.
To me, it would be like being compared to just like a broom in a broom cupboard..... I'm more of a 'Hoover'. 😊

I just used that to cover all basis. Kind of fill in the blank word for this thread. I don't think I would refer to anyone as that. Anyhow you didn't follow the thread request and probably just wanted to bellyache about something 🤣
