So I'm at the Thrift Store cash paying for my items and it goes like this...

Young cashier: "Discount?"

Me: (face lighting up) "Sure! I'll take a discount!"

Young Cashier: "You're over 65 right?"

Me: (deflating like an old party balloon) "Er...actually I'm 57."

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. When I got back home and related the incident to my daughters, they couldn't stop laughing.

I think this type of thing in general is just relative, depending on the ages of the two people involved.

I was walking past a Town Hall and I was catching up with some very young children. They seemed to be with their two teachers. I started to walk past them as they too were waking. When suddenly a young girl ran from behind me and ran up to here teacher. I heard the young girl say to the teacher something about, “…that old man

I turned my head around and looked behind me as I was walking. There was no one there, and no one else around us all, old or otherwise. I then realised the young girl was talking about me; I had just turned 30. I wasn’t happy, at all, for the rest of the day.

I was walking across a shopping center parking lot and noticed a 30ish-year-old man walking along with his 5-or-6-year old son. I was watching them with a smile on my face because the kid was cute and they were talking to each other in a cute way: "Where we going next, Daddy?", "Well, Son, your mother wants us to pick up [something or other]." And I guess the kid saw me looking at them out of the corner of his eye because he turns to me with a charming smile on his face and I'm thinking "Awww, what a cute little kid" and the kid says, "Grandma, is that you?!"

When I was about 9, I encountered a man who exposed himself and told my older sister about it. When she asked for a description, I said he was old. Sister, 17 at the time, was wise beyond her years. She asked, "Old like me, old like Daddy, or old like Grandpa?"

Old is relative.

Which old was he? And yes, a young person can't tell between a 57 yr. old and a 65 year old. Every female in the world gets to see an unasked for exposed male member. I don't know of one female this hasn't happened to.

You're probably right. It was actually a bizarre rather than traumatizing experience. He stopped his car and asked for directions. He was masturbating, which I found fascinating. Had no idea what he was doing.

After a bit he asked me to get in his car to show him how to get there. Repeated warnings from family, school, etc., told me to never get into, but to scram immediately. Which I did.

He was old like Daddy. So 40-ish.
