The Philadelphia Phillies had a $1 hot dog promotion night and since those fans were not entertained by their team losing they took it upon themselves to have a food fight that involved everyone.

The funny thing is those in attendance are probably not in need of a one dollar hotdog being ticket prices and parking would be a week's worth of food to some. Not exactly poor unemployed slumps in attendance.

It was shown on live TV coverage.

Aaron Rogers told a story of being pelted by batteries while playing there.

Screening for 'weapons' is pretty tight at games everywhere now ... but I guess hot dog throwing isn't covered in that.

I do believe this is a small matter considering that whole countries have gone to war because their soccer team lost!

Make them pay 20 dollars next time and they may not be so willing to throw them.

Just watch an episode of road, customer or neighborhood wars and see how people behave.

Phillies fans are notorious for bad behavior. I used to go to Eagles games at the old stadium. At least 50+ brawls at each game. Some just came to the game to beat up people. If there was a guy, who looked like an easy target, they'd pile up on him, wailing away. I stopped going to the Vet, because it was not safe.
