@sch404 and I are having a Zoom for the next 40 minutes and everyone is welcome! :) You can join with or without your camera on; there are audio and text options. If you join us, (by following the link which is on my profile), your camera will automatically be turned off as that is the way Zoom works. You have to turn it on manually, so don't worry about it being on before you're ready; it won't be.

So, if you don't like the camera, pop in and hang out with us over audio.... or text.
 

Thank you guys; we're there now and may be going around again... I'll let you know. FYI, we're discussing possible topics...

Okay, we're going around again, another 40. We were discussing cannibalism in the animal kingdom and as an ancient practice in humans before Zoom cut us off, but the floor is open.

Okay, we've had two sessions and lots of fun, tangential discussion:
Cannibalism, chess (variants, attacks by wet sponge and dog toys), apple pie and the unnecessary insertion of comments not relevant to apple pie, conspiracy theories, defense of others, various movies from then and now (Soylent Green, The African Queen, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Sweeny Todd, Cloud Atlas) and... other stuff that has dropped from my short term memory.

See what you missed? ;)

I might pop in for another later, if the day works out, so come in and hang out. :) ā™„

Well... that's the thing with me. I'm in a sort of "fluxy" state right now and never know how I'm going to feel in a day, an hour... So pop-ups work well for me because I can do them in the moment, when I've got the "spoons," as they say. :)

The above is also why my Zooms don't tend to be well attended; people, reasonably, would like a little lead time. I get that. :)

@Right Now was planning on doing pre-scheduled Zooms, but has subsequently decided she can't, for her own reasons, at least at this time, which I completely understand, of course.

Tell ya what, though; when I can, I'll try to give an hour or two lead in. It would be really nice to see you, @Lee and others there as the conversation is easy, interesting and fun. ā™„

Well, it's nearly 1900 here and I've got Gin Rummy with my guys (and artichokes. Artichokes are such a fun, interactive food.) and bed after that.
