I woke up early and was very happy to see the sun! Put some biegels in the new toaster (oh yes! got a lovely new toaster yesterday :) ). Still can't decide whether to go out or stay home and clean the windows, they are the ones which swivel round so easy to clean.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Hope you feel better today @hollydolly.

Have you had a pneumonia jab?
No Trish I haven't... iornically I asked about it last winter. Doc said they don't do it for people under 70... and I found one pharmacist out of 4 I asked.. who would do it ( Asda pharmacist).. and he wanted £60 so..I didn't have it done..

My breathing feels easier this morning.. still not great but definitely easier, thankfully..

It's a glorious sunny day.. so I have all the windows open wide, that brings in the fresh air and helps me breathe as well..

I've yet to go and study the front of my car..couldn't really see it properly in the dark of the Multi-story car park.. and feeling as rough as I did.... there's not much damage I don't think.. but it's annoying that there's any at all .. :(

Still waiting for the call back from the company who took my money, I'll give them an hour and then I'll call them again...

Seems there was a Malevolent moon yesterday with all that happened with many of us... lets hope today is the start of better things.. 🤗

Just read all the posts from yesterday.........what a day everyone had!

Sun is shining this morning so that is a good sign. I might go to the store this morning on my mobility chair to get some food for Rabbit. Other than that, housecleaning chores after my morning walk.

@hollydolly I hope you start feeling better today. The sunshine and fresh air should help and rest.

Today I am thinking about tomorrow which is when I get the eye jabs for macular so may not be around for couple of days.
Depends on how many jabs and oh yes did he hit a blood vessel.??

Tomorrow is also the one year anniversary of the demise of my thumb which loves me so much it just won't detach and annoys me non stop.
I can't believe how time flies by. I don't know what I did all year.....really.
Best to everyone

Morning folks...welp, I started the day by pouring water
into my cup of instant coffee, and yep I forgot to heat
the damn water!!!! SO, it's gonna be that kind of day LOL...it is 68deg F out and supposedly that is our high for the day...and it is thundering like crazy and raining hard as heck...so that is
the way of my day so far LOL....doc appt at 1130, hope it goes better.....

I;m back..... it;s just after 10.30pm.....on this actual day from Hell...:oops:

You wouldn't believe what a day this has been.. but enough of that for now... thank you for all the well wishes.. I'm absolutely worn out... but to cut a long story short I have Pneumonia... .They gave me intravenous antibiotics at the second hospital, where I was sent to have bloods and X-rays done.. . The first hospital only has urgent care.. no in-patients so after I;d waited for 2 hours I got to see the one and only Doctor , they did an ECG.. BP.. listened to my chest, said they thought it was Pneumonia.. or Bronchitis.. and that I had to go to the Large hospital in a further large Industrial town. It's basically the hospital where everyone is sent who lives within a 5o mile radius ..but it's in a town that has a lot of not sure how to describe them, but lets just say , no class .. my mind isn't working too well at the moment.. there's better descriptions.. but currently I don't want to swear!

The Doc at the first hospital assured me that with his accompanying note I wouldn't have to wait for hours at A&E like the walk-ins.. and would get my X-rays and bloods done immediately..

That didn't happen!.. the waiting room.. was packed with people.. at one point while I sat there for 3 hours.. I counted 83 people.. and screaming children., everyone was restless lots had been there for hours..

They did take me in 5 minutes after I arrived to take my BP and ECG again.. despite having it done just an hour before.... anyway sitting there feeling rough.. as many others were, my neighbour in the next chair suddenly lurched forward as he was kicked out of his seat from behind!!.. ...I jumped up... and there was 2 guys fighting.. full battle, kicking punching.. terrible.. everyone tried to get out of the way , the nursing staff were screaming for security, ( No security , for at least 10 minutes)....I took a picture.. the guy who is sitting down was the one kicking and lashing out at the others, and everyone else..

everyone was trying to get out of the way.. and just as we did.. another guy unrelated to the first incident launched an attack on a Doctor... the Police arrived within 5 minutes ( quicker than security for the others.. and had him in an arm lock.. in seconds)..

this is getting too long.. I'll start another post..
OMG!!!!! You just can't go anywhere without attracting some kind of excitement, can you!!!! 😅😂

But seriously, before retiring, I worked in a hospital for 20 years.....I can relate to your day. I'm sure the staff sees this kind of often enough that they know how to handle it. It's a shame that you had to experience this kind of behavior.

..by now I'm wanting out of this hospital, I'd already been there hours.. and I had never encountered anything like this in an A&E dept, ..read about it in some hospitals, saw documentaries on it on TV... never witnessed it ever... I was actually shaken up... this was within feet of me..

so I decided I would go home.. so I went over and told the nursing Sister that I was leaving and so she got me in to have X-rays and bloods immediately... that was about 7.30pm...

....so they said I have a mild case of Pneumonia.. and gave me antibiotics intravenously for about 20 minutes.. and then sent me home with a prescription for doxycycline.. and the usual instructions on treating it as tho' it were a bad case of flu... ( this is the 3rd time now I've had pneumonia ) ECG was fine and BP was as it should be which is good... which is bloody surprising given all that had happened during today.. starting off with that company and my DD who tok £80 out of my account and still haven't rung back... to this 2 hospital visit... and this fighting.. and the long waits.. but what really put the whole tin lid on it for me today.. was when I got into the hospital multi storey car park, and just driving into a space.. a car reversed right into the front of me (SMASH)

he got out of his car and I said ''you've just reversed into me '' !!!.. he said he didn't see me, but I was tooting you loudly I said.. and he said... ''Oh I wondered where that tooting was coming from''. ...so help me I could have hit him... what a complete twonk.. not only not looking in his mirror while reversing, but ''totally oblivious to someone behind him tooting their horn''..

so this has been the day of Hell today... !

Thank you for all your best wishes... I wish I'd never got up this morning tbh..:(

you're so right..I get Drama wherever I go, I've often said it...

Having watched this type of behaviour on documentaries on tv.. they always show, security being called by phone or Page , and arriving immediately and a clean arrest.. but this wasn't like that at all. The place was packed, the rows of chairs are close to each other so when the 2 guys literally kicked off there was nowhere for people to get out of the way initially.. and nurses were calling '' Get security''.. but no security came for about 10 minutes.. and when they did.. they strolled in.. no rush at all... like there was no problem to be sorted. In fact it was a few of the patients who calmed the main procrastinator down. In the photo the only security is the guy standing to the left with the beard and glasses...

Checked the car there's a crack in the number plate but otherwise nothing .. surprised because it was such a loud Bang...

Called that company again about the Direct debit.. got pushed from piller to post eventually got to speak to the finance dept, I swear I could have been talking to a child.. .. it's still not resolved to my satisfaction.. apparently as is always the case the person responsible is on annual leave, and so won't be contactable until the 24th.. so in the meantime I;ve cancelled the DD to them, so they can't take any more money. If nothing gets their attention that will...

However I feel fairly ok.. until I start talking, and then my breath gets short, and I have a coughing fit.. so that was a bit embarrassing on the phone..

What I am doing today? Calling the cops. At 5 in the morning, still dark, my 3 Boxer dogs started barking. So I went outside but couldn't see anything besides a car driving off. Later on I went for a walk with my pups, but the gate was wide open and the chain was cut with a bolt cutter. And then I saw the lock on our travel trailer had been smashed. The sheriff deputy took pictures and wrote a report. He assured me the barking of my dogs had scared off the thieves before they could drive the trailer to Mexico never to be seen again. I love my Boxer dogs; time to buy them more treats. View attachment 280838View attachment 280839View attachment 280840View attachment 280841View attachment 280842
You are fortunate to have those loyal companions!! Glad you're ok!

I have to be at work at 8am for some "mandatory" computer training. I already know how to use the computer system at work. At least the basics. There are a few things I'm not sure about but I don't use those everyday. I think this is turning into some accountability 'you'll get a write up if you didn't do it right after our training' type BS. I want to stop working!!!
