i am trying to teach myself to crochet. i bought a little kit called Woobles; comes with everything and even a step-by-step video to follow. i have started it 8 times. i threw it across the room three times. i am all thumbs. i am determined to do it but not today. i find i cannot create if the sun isn't out. We haven't seen the sun for days.

I make fabric postcards you can actually send thru the mail. The recipient loves them and they are fun to make. I taught 12 seniors at the Senior Center and they enjoyed it. I also like to make little quilts and small quilted things. I am the queen of unfinished projects.

I do a lot of online jigsaw puzzles while watching tv.

I am trying to walk more because last time i was at doc she told me i had high cholesterol and i want to take as little medication as possible.

I also transcribe historical documents for the smithsonian institute or the library of congress. It's just a volunteer thing but you can learn a lot while doing so. U can type a word, a sentence, a paragraph, a page. I transcribed a civil war soldier's diary a couple years ago. That was interesting. I have also transcribed about art history and letters about theodore roosevelt. You really never know what projects there will be.

I joined a Quilling class many years ago. I loved making Christmas and Birthday cards then specialised making Wedding cards. I then decided to make large photo frames with Camels and Elephants in them. Everybody loved them and I even entered some frames into the local Show. I was
so happy to have won a couple of first prizes with them.

A went to a class to learn quilting , but it was left unfinished and I found I loved Embroidery , Long Stitch , and built up a picture with French Knot , some became Cushion Covers , and when they started to take over my home I donated them to Charity .
My eye sights not so good now and kneedle work tries my patience , so I no longer do any .

Id love to know more about Fabric Cards Anne would you have any to show ?

My New lol thing I’m trying is to transfer coloring book pages onto material and appliqué and embroider the picture. I’m working on a little mouse house with mouse fishing in boat. Don’t know what I’m going to do with it after I’m done. Lol I might put it into a quilt but how many mouse quilts does a person need. 😊 It keeps my hands busy and doesn’t overly tire them. Besides crafts are supposed to be relaxing.
I think I belong to your club Anne of being Queen of unfinished projects. Lol

The hardest part of crocheting is the starting row. It's hard to find
the correct loop to crochet in so it gets twisted and turned. At least that's how it was for me. Once I got that it was just repeating.

Yah, the crochet method is throwing me into a "loop". Get it? It gets too tight and i can't get the hook in and around and thru and down. It's not for me.

Yes I have many to show. Just got to figure out how to get them on here to show u.

I was watching the T.V. one day of a lovely Fairy House made with a Gourd. I looked up the phone book and found a man in country N.S.W.(Aust)
who had a business called "The Gourd Father". I ordered 6 and when they came, I proceeded to clean them out and cut windows and doors in them. I layered them with Japanese Rice Paper and then decorated them with dried flowers to make it look like it was nestled in a garden. It was a great hit, and I sold the lot within 6 months. Since the floods here in NSW many businesses have closed down.
