Cat tree, exactly my thought! I had at one time envisioned life-like wooden limbs climbing up opposite corners of a wall, with a few little flat "shelves" here and there to lay on. Cats love to go up high; they feel safer. Those are cool. I especially like the one with the tree trunk but it also would make a great cat tree.
I desperately need more room for books. If I ever move, another bookcase and small china cabinet are what I will want to get.
I've promised my tabby if we move, I'll get her a cat tree. She loves high places. She goes up on the kitchen cabinets, which I don't mind. But I don't like her on the bookcase.Cat tree, exactly my thought! I no longer have cats![]()
That's a great idea! Hope you can do it.My daughter is building a library in her house and I was just thinking of creative book shelves. I honestly thought of using an old piano for shelves just like the one pictured! I can't belive there's another person out there in the world who thinks like me.lol
This is really cool. It's like living inside a brain cell or something. Weird analogy, but that's what sprang to mind!
I agree, now that you mention it. For myself, I love it.This is really cool. It's like living inside a brain cell or something. Weird analogy, but that's what sprang to mind!
It's beautiful but be careful , it's going to be noisy on those stairs without carpet... and also slippy...I am replacing the carpet on my stairs with wood that needs to be finished & I was thinking of this. My first floor floor is walnut & I want a lighter wood for the upstairs. Thought this would blend the two colors together.

That's pretty but seems VERY labor intensive. I think (being lazy) I would do the treads the same color as the first floor and the risers in the color of the second floor.I am replacing the carpet on my stairs with wood that needs to be finished & I was thinking of this. The patterned risers will tie the two wood tones together. It's beautiful but be careful , it's going to be noisy on those stairs without carpet... and also slippy...
... and that, too! That's pretty but seems VERY labor intensive. I think (being lazy) I would do the treads the same color as the first floor and the risers in the color of the second floor.
