What Didn't You Buy And Why Not?

I also didn't look at or consider a mobile for sale because it was in my stepfather's park and I'm not sure I want to live that close to him. I'm wondering if I should let that stop me. It's now pending.
I think you made a wise decision, Remy. You could easily become his daily stop for coffee, lunch and dinner -- possibly with his laundry in tow.

I know, believe me, I've helped him with laundry, shopping MD appointments etc when he broke his hip and when he had covid. The thing is, I'm getting pretty desperate to find a place and it may not be a 100% determent next time. The park also isn't in the best location for me to go feed the feral cats everyday, but again, I'm getting desperate.

We've been thinking about trading our large Impala for a smaller sedan or compact SUV. I check the dealers lots and web sites, etc., but so far there aren't any incentives to trade. Besides, it seems that most dealers lots are filled with large pickups, and few smaller vehicles. Perhaps if a recession hits this year, the economy will force a slowdown in car sales such that the dealers will be offering better prices.

I three times tried to buy the "Mystery 10 pack shirts" from six dollar shirts at $80, but for some reason, I just couldn't hit the "Checkout" button.

Then got a letter from senior living place to go for a interview. The fuel was over $100, but passed the interview. Now it's 3-6 months for an opening. I'm #1

I never bought a car because after failing my driver's test 3 times I gave up
I never felt comfortable behind the wheel, trying to explain this to my parents, siblings was frustrating
I've saved alot of money over the yrs, but in this day of age with distracted drivers on the road, it boggles my mind how some of them actually got their driver's licenses.,I've lost count how many times I've almost been hit by these idiots as I'm crossing the street when I have the right of way

I almost bought a new Chevy Blazer last Friday, but they didn’t have the color I wanted. I had 2 choices. I could wait about 90 days to get one shipped in from Mexico, I think the salesperson said or pay $300 to go up to a dealer in South Carolina and pick one up. There aren’t any closer than the one in South Carolina and they wanted me to pay $300 for them to go get it, or pay $525 to have it shipped by closed truck. It wasn’t the money, but the principle. However, now that I have had more time to think about it, I really wanted the Blazer RS, but I want it shipped by closed truck, so I guess I may have to pay the $525. They offered me 5 free oil changes and a free 50,000 mile checkup if I keep it that long. So, I’m up in the air over this.

Personally hub and I think the dealer was reasonable. It takes bucks to transport a car.
We live about 50 miles from Houston and Houston has more autos than people. That would be a reasonable quote here. We're thinking about a Ford Maverick Pick up. Betting that we won't be able to find the color we want, either. It is what it is.

Went to buy a Adult Tricycle, couldn't decide which one...Didn't buy any. Need for when I take my GS camping...we ride bikes for exercise.
I wish I had enough room to store an adult tricycle Mary. I never could ride a bike no matter how I tried. When I took my son to Wildwood (NJ) around 44 years ago I rented a bike for him and a trike for me. We had such fun riding on the boardwalk. When I see people riding their bikes it looks so freeing and I envy their ability to ride.
@Muskrat and @C50 As much as Dyson products cost they should never fall apart and should serve their owners well, for years.

@StarSong That's a good deal on eggs. I paid $4.99 for only a dozen this past week at our local supermarket. We buy the brown, cageless brands (I bought Eggland's best) which tend to be more expensive. My son usually gets eggs from Costco but we were down to the last two and his schedule is so packed that he probably won't be able to get there until late next week.

@Remy If you are having trepidation about moving so close to your step father, that's an indication that you probably shouldn't IMO.

I had a WetJet years ago that I ended up throwing out. The pads had to be changed so often and they were expensive. My kitchen is small, but one pad was not enough and it always pushed a line of dirt near the wall that had to be cleaned by hand with a paper towel. I always sweep before I wash, so that didn't help matters. I tried to wash the pads on gentle cycle like someone recommended online, but that didn't work well at all, they are once and done.
Your reply reminds me, those are other reasons I decided not to get the Wet Jet. Yes that line of dirt is not desirable and you've verified the feeling I had that it would happen with the Wet Jet as it does with the wet Swiffers. Also I noticed that the wet Swiffers sometimes leave a little bit of stickiness on the floors. Why not all the time I don't know but when it happens I'll rinse a clean wet one with water and go over the area again.

Yes, the selling point of making cleaning easier is not always true. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is, LOL.

I am going to take my GS camping @ a state park, they have many biking paths. He is 6, we spend allot of time together. One of my sisters (have 6), (3 older...3 younger) will go camping with her GS age 9 also. We don't have many GD...so our GS love camping with their Grannies...lol

I've been thinking about replacing my '17 Audi with a new car. I've had it for 7 years and I drive it locally every day. It only has 30k miles, but I'd just like something different. My partner just leased a '23 Mazda CX-30 and it is a fantastic vehicle. I was tempted.

However, I just went in for my 30k mile service and my shop found that it needed a new cabin air filter, brake flush, air filter, etc. The cost was over $750! I also recently replaced the tires, which weren't cheap.

I was considering a Mazda3, but no new car for me. After the money I've spent I figure the car will be in good working condition for years and I need to hang onto it.
