When you have problems and then hear about what someone else is going through, it can certainly fall into the "So, you think you have problems" category. I understand why people air their problems, sometimes they feel overburdened and might feel better getting it off their chest. I'm always willing to listen, if that helps.
I don't share too many of my problems because I don't see the point. When sharing problems, some people might feel sorry for you, which is kind, but feeling sorry is in and of itself, so it doesn't really help. Others are glad to see you're having problems. Maybe it makes them feel better about their own problems, or they just don't like you and are glad to see you're suffering. Yeah, there are people like that.
Problems are big and small, but everybody has them. Mine might be better or worse than someone else's, but they're my problems. If I share them, it's with people I know and trust. Occasionally they offer a solution that I haven't thought of that is actually helpful, and I'm grateful for their input.
