Who or what owns "Senior Forums"?

echoed thanks too - can I assume then that it is in fact a good example of a truly international community of like minded rather than being nationalistical focused in any one part of the globe? However I do spot at least one glitch - I wonder if anyone else has so far?

nb: I am a member of a much smaller british forum but with international access run and owned by 3 persons basically and a much smaller membership popn than this and they are struggling with continuous issues. Sometimes it seems to be almost overwhelming? I don't sight this to highlight or criticize or change any focus merely to make a point. But it is of course a point of comparison?

well we all have the same information available to hand so to speak about the structure and function of this website which appears to be robust and well organized and running well - I suppose one question would be are there any significant possible weaker points in the structure?
 

Yes this is a lovely and homely place, just like a
community in a village, but this would be the
biggest village ever.

It saddened me to check the members on the
first page, to discover that most have not been
seen since, 2016, '17, '18 or 2019, just stopped,
without explanation, very popular and prolific
posters they were, I can only assume that they
have gone to the next life.

R.I.P. those who have gone.

yes you bring up an interesting point Mike - I have had friends around the world that i kept in touch with via email just stop writing and I assume now as we never parted on poor terms that they have died but no one in their families seemed to have considered just sending a quick email on their list to let people know. I have told my son as soon as I go grab my laptop and go through it methodically notifying as many people as possible it is just uncommon courtesy after all!!

quite a few have died.. sadly.. but not unexpected given that many of them were old....

As is the case more and more these days, maybe they don't really have family, not sons or daughters anyway, to do that for them. That's the case with me.

yes but @Matrix has never made any secret of it.. which is another reason why he doesn't want certain offensive words used because he gets a warning from Google.. and we could lose the forum if he doesn't keep it reigned in...
 
It never dawned on me what this forum would be if I didn't have AdBlock on. I had to start using it on another forum that I was a member of. You were bombarded with ads all of the time.
