Where is One place you have Travelled , that you would tell everyone to go at least once in their life time ....

The Arches in Moab Utah. Rent a condo stay for a week.

Anyone planning on Yellowstone there is a small country store in the little town on the west side entrance that can put together a picnic lunch that was reasonably priced. For viewing Old Faithful there is a better view if you follow the boardwalk to a mound behind Old Faithful. Really interesting is the stairs descending into the place named The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

Plan at least a week & rent a cabin if going to The Redwoods in Cal. & Yosemite in Cal.
Zion in Utah rent a B&B. A couple of days should be enough.

Would have really like to have rented Harleys & spent a month touring Australia.
Zion Nat. Park was spectacular to drive through. I love driving in southern Utah/Northern Arizona at sunrise or sunset. It's awe inspiring

Many of the national parks and my favorite European cities are krakow and Prague.

There are so many to choose from, but if I have to pick just one, it would be the Tuscany region in Italy.

Some of my other favorites would be New York city, Vancouver Canada, Hawaii, Southern Spain, Portugal, and Monterey California.

Some of the places that I once enjoyed have changed so much that a revisit is out of the question: Hong Kong, Istanbul Turkey, Athens Greece, San Francisco, Kenya and South Africa.

For something totally manufactured, Las Vegas. It’s over-the-top extravagance. Take money, not to gamble, but for all the shows and food and drinks. And good walking shoes.

The Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic, that is a magical place,
I spent 2 years there building an airport, with some help, of course.

The animals don't know just how evil man can be, seabirds, terns will
land on your arms and form a queue, if you are offering food, they one
nearest your hand will get something and fly off, to the back and let the
next one get something from the hand, they can keep this up for hours
as long as you can, you can go into Penguin colonies and they will not
move away, they will watch you, but keep their egg warm, you won't be
there very long because of the stink!

Anywhere in the World that you have never been to before will fascinate
you, as long as it is not too hot, or too cold, or too dangerous.

Mike.

I'd suggest the dinosaur digs in and around Vernal, Utah, Arches National Park, a general exploration of Lassen County in Calif, the Shoshone Ice Caves and Canyonlands in Idaho, Wyoming in general, and Yosemite National Park, in that order.

If I had to choose one city it would have to be Rome. One sight would be in the Cathedral of Seville, the coffin of Columbus borne on the shoulders of four Spaniish kings and queens. Awesome.

BTW, the Spanish who greatly revere Columbus, believe he was the son of a Jewish family driven out of Spain into Italy by the Spanish Inquisition.

On one trip we went to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. While eating our picnic supper we got to watch the moon come up over the canyon.
You can look right across the canyon from the north rim to the south rim, but it is 200 miles away by road from one to the other.

Another place that was quite interesting was Gibaltar. You look across and see Morocco, we fed the Barbary apes and explore the rock.

anywhere in greece is great, and loved the mosques in Istanbul

Normandy and Arlington National Cemetery. The two most solemn places in the world. My grandfather was killed in Normandy on the first landing and later buried in Arlington. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and received the Medal of Honor, one Purple Heart, 2 Bronze and one Silver Star. My parents had him moved from the American Cemetery in Normandy to Arlington at my Grandfather’s request, but his cross with his name on it is still at Normandy. You will never regret going to Normandy and visiting the Visitor’s Center.
