You have a huge"Natalie" tattooed on your chest, but you're married to Barbara??

When I was in my early twenties a young lady and I met on a poker run and we became very close to the point that we pledged our undying love for each other just as many young people do . After a period of cohabitation I mentioned to her how nice it would be for her to show her never ending love for me by getting a tattoo with my name on it for perpetuity. It was only a half serious idea but she seemed to like the idea.

The following weekend we went to a trusted tattoo parlor where I had received quite a few quality tattoos myself. The idea was to have a large black rose tattooed on her butt cheek with a rocker over the top of the rose that said Property Of and a bottom rocker with my name on it under the rose. I must mention here that I did not in any way shape or form push the issue of her getting this tattoo. Personally when I embarked into the world of tattoos I pledged to myself I would never get any names carved onto my body. I have adhered to that promise to this very day.

After about two hours at the tattoo parlor the artist was finishing up his work and I took a peek, it was striking. There staring me in my face was a beautiful black rose covering about three quarters of her butt cheek and my name taking up the rest. After the tattoo was finished the artist handed her a mirror so she could pore over the results. She seemed to be satisfied with the results to say the least and I received a big hug and a kiss for I was the one who footed the bill.

Everything moved along smoothly for the next three years. Then one weekend night a very close friend of mine took me aside and told me that she was cheating on me. I did a little of my own research and found that what he had told me was true. Being that I had been blindsided before I reacted in my own calm and collected way and vacated the premises. Afterwards I went to the beach and pounded sand for about an hour. I felt much better after that. Needless to say I have not had any contact with her now for many years.

Sometimes when it is quiet and my mind meanders back to the good ole days I wonder what she had done about that tattoo. I like to think she just crossed out my name and added others as they came and went until she had a list of crossed out names all the way down to her ankle. C'est la vie

..and now she's old.. and her Ar..se.. might be wrinkled like an old washing board.. it might look like she's playing La Vie en Rose on an old accordion.. :ROFLMAO:

a while back some friends were getting tattoos ..... co-worker had the grand babies name on leg ....... i went out of curiosity to an appointment the parlor we went to had a strict policy of only doing kids/ grand kids type names... they asked for proof like see copy of birth certificates etc.

because so so many had girlfriend/ boyfriend/ wife/ husband names ......and then it does not work out.

I've always wondered about this. I have a buddy, Ron, who was passionate about Natalie. He went out and got a huge "Natalie" in a big red heart tattooed on his chest. He showed me the "art work". I thought he was an idiot for putting her name on him, when they weren't even married. Yup, you guessed it, they got divorced. Now, he's married to Barbara. He lives in southern Florida- no shirt country! I get poolside pics of he and Barb, plus Natale. How do you run around with your ex's name all over your chest?
Be happy it wasn't you;)

About Ron and his tattoo. The same day he showed me the "Natalie" tattoo, he and Natalie had a big fight. They planned a big road trip, and she wanted to rent to a car, and he thought it was waste of money, since they owned one. They weren't going to see each other again. BTW, they rented a car. :)
BTW, Ron had been married as a teenager, and had two boys, before he met Natalie.

OMG! "oldpop" and a black rose on your bum would take some explaining ;)

You have a present wife who understands you were temporarily insane about Natalie and that you now have a permanent reminder that you are an asshat, and she loves you anyway. That's how you do it.
I love the expression “asshat” it never fails to make me giggle like a school girl.🤣

I’ve read and can believe that most responsible tattoo artists will discourage boyfriend/girlfriend name tattoos, and refuse to do facial tattoos. “Cover up” tattoos may be possible to obliterate past indiscretions, as well…

If I had the money ( around $100,000 ) to buy the laser equipment, I would have a laser tatoo removal clinic, and I would call it "Regrets ". Such business operations are big money makers. JimB.

I grew up being told you never end up with the person you have tattooed on your body. I have no tattoos, never asked any boyfriend/hubby to put my name on them. One didn't listen, put my initials on him....relationship ended. His third wife got him to put another tattoo over my initials. I told him "I told you so" He asked would I come back if he removed it, I said "Are you crazy?" Stay with your third wife, lol!
