I've watched it all, still watching the great procession and been very inspired and moved. History before our very eyes.
It is wonderful.
I had said before that I didn't like Camilla. Well, today I have warmed to her. Watching her being crowned I thought, she's ok! So I do wish our King and his Queen the very best.

I'm feeling very patriotic today. We put on the greatest pageantry in the world.

Note: what a thing that Meghan has missed out on, everything she could have had if she had behaved properly in marrying into the Royal family. She should have been in a place of honour next to her husband, being part of history. The woman is a fool. I wonder how Harry feels. Wonder if she is watching it.

I know he brought a lot on himself..but it must really be upsetting for Harry to have to be seen to be less important at his own fathers Coronation, than his cousins...

Just a few facts for anyone who is interested..

Charles is the 40th reigning Monarch to be crowned at Westminster Abbey..altho;' Britain has had 62 Monarchs over 1200 years...

The crowing of the Monarch has taken place in exactly the same spot since 1066. ACE
One of ancestors, my 32nd great-grandfather Edward I, was crowned there. My invitation to that one was lost in the mail, too. Sigh.

On leaving the Abbey King Charles changed from the St Edward Crown, into the Imperial State crown which is known as the working crown..

It is made of gold and set with 2,868 diamonds, the largest of which is the Cullinan II...set in the middle front. This is the crown Charles will wear on the Balcony...

@jujube ..you may be interested in this little extra piece of info about Penny Mordaunt

It was the first time in history that the Jewelled Sword of Offering has been carried and presented to the monarch by a woman.

The intricately detailed sword was made for George IV’s coronation in 1821, It is encrusted with diamonds, rubies and emeralds and is decorated with jewelled roses, thistles and shamrocks.

The sword was blessed by the Archbishop of Canterbury and then presented to the King by Ms Mordaunt, who wore a £2,000 Roni dress by atelier Safiyaa.

It had been carried into the Westminster Abbey by Petty Officer Amy Taylor, who became the first woman to undertake the duty of carrying the sword into the Abbey after being selected to represent service men and women as a tribute to the King's military career.

The sword, which symbolises royal power, was placed in the King's right hand, then clipped onto his girdle and eventually unclipped.

The King then stepped forward and offered the sword to the Dean, who placed it on the altar.

The sword was then 'redeemed' by Ms Mordaunt, who placed the redemption money on an alms dish, held by the Dean, before drawing the sword and carrying it in its naked form, without its scabbard.
