The Golden coach arrives back at the Palace...

Next will be the King and Queen on the Balcony but this time only members of the working royals will be attending with him.

At this point is where the Red arrows should be making their display.. 60 planes.. . It' still very wet but the rain has almost stopped, so I'm hoping they can go ahead...

The King and Queen have emerged onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the military flypast across London.

However, the spectacle has been scaled down due to bad weather

It's now now only helicopters ( the same ones which were practising over my house yesterday) and the Red Arrows, and will not include any aircraft from the Battle of Britain.

Aside from the Coronation party ( pages and supporters) the only people on the Balcony for the first time ever are working Royals. All of the people ion the right and in the middle.. but also inlcudes the Duke of Kent and the Duke of Gloucester ( the late Queens; first cousins ) on the far right

The King and Queen will then retire for “further private time” with both of their families.

An informal lunch will be served, when, away from the cameras, they will be free to share their own experiences and observations of the day so far. For Charles and Camilla, the scheduled break from the festivities will also allow them to remove their cumbersome crowns and robes.

However, it will be a brief respite as portrait photographer Hugo Burnand will be waiting in the wings to capture the moment for the history books.

After lunch, the family will be ushered to the Throne Room and the Green Drawing Room to pose for the official pictures in their finery.

“The coordination of those and getting the different groups together takes some time, , but after that we can't rule out a possible further return to the Balcony. Our late Queen did 6 appearances at her Coronation in 1953

For those who are interested...

The first 6 rows of the seating on the left are the Royal family in order of importance from front to back ..and their imediate relatives ( ie 6th row is Carol & Michael Middleton and Catherines' sister Pippa and her husband

prince Harry is relegated to the 3rd row with his first cousins..as a non working Royal

( Harry has already arrived back at the airport for his flight back to the USA,. didn't even go to the Palace)..

The seating on the right of the picture are for Heads of state and dignitaries

Brigitte Macron, 70, wore a classy pink coat and matching dress and shoes as she accompanied her husband, President Macron

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murthy arrive at the coronation, with Akshata sporting a classic blue patterned dress

The first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, and Prime minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, smile as they arrive at the Abbey

Jill Biden sported a smart blue two-piece suit ( sorry, folks..looks like she forgot to fake tan her feet)

I noticed that in an earlier picture. I think they all should be wearing pantyhose for this sort of occasion. The Princess of Wales usually does.

yes I think Brigitte Macron is ... but I agree.. on an a like this all the women should wear tights..

I agree... Katie Perry was critisised today for wearing a huge hat and blocking the view of those behind her. Perhaps if people want to wear big hats.. then they should be asked to take them off indoors
