That was uncalled for. Very uncalled for.It really is ALWAYS all about you, isn't it?
LOL LOLHere we go...back to normal...the coronation is over .. another one for the Ignore list ..yawnnnnnnnnnzzzzzzzz
I love Eurovision! Too bad it isn't being shown anywhere on Canadian Televison, that I know of. If any American broadcasters should carry it, please let me know! "Fire Saga" was excellent even though I don't like Will Farrell! (as a Comedian) I developed a taste for the contest when I was stationed in Germany in the seventies!I love it and cannot wait for Saturday. I watch with good friends and have a drink. It is such a fun night. I recommend the film Fire Saga' - it is wonderful and so funny. It captures the essence of this whole Eurovision experience.
So do you love or hate Eurovision?
We must agree to disagree on that one. I loved the pageantry and many of the songs ... in the past. Except for a recent song and movie that I thoroughly enjoyed I haven't seen it since the seventies. This is what capured my attention once again a couple of years ago.You have to sit through a whole load of dross to get amusing comments from Graham..lol.c'mon it's many years since you saw a good song on Eurovision much less made into a big hit like Abba et al..
It's terrible.. really.. !

I think the song is beautiful. Will Ferrell spoils it a bit for me but the music fits my taste!
Addition: Please take my comments with a grain of salt since I haven't watched since the seventies and since the song I listed was from a fictitional movie!

Classic Eurovision.Sorry, I am being nostalgic! Here are two Eurovision songs we loved in the early seventies! One was a winner! Possibly both!
Now don't tell me, they aren't great songs!
That is the idea Old Salt, it is for a new vibrant generation, not us old farts. What do you want, Sea Shanties?I just tuned in a few minutes ago! The first song I came across was dreadful! Some no talent imitating Thriller! So painful! And the following two were also not so great! All the nostalgia in the world won't keep me watching! Goodbye Eurovision!
To one who hasn't watched for fifty years the whole thing is over-hyped, over-produced, frantic and kitschig!
No, to the sea shanties! But I would have loved more harmony in the songs! Something that touches the heart! France was okay, but the others I watched, not so much! That is the idea Old Salt, it is for a new vibrant generation, not us old farts. What do you want, Sea Shanties?
Finland Cha, Cha, Cha now, that is bringing the audience alive. Cha Cha Cha, go for itcan you feel it, they love it, lifted the roof off.
Oh, Dear Old Salt, never mind it comes to us all in the end, I never thought it would with me, but it has in the last year along with a few minor things like a stroke and my heart stopping and worse my peripheral neuropathy. How about I sing a little Julio Iglesias for you? Adding only from being on many forums, many seem old at 55.No, to the sea shanties! But I would have loved more harmony in the songs! My sincere sympathy for all that you have gone through, @Avon! I can counter with a TIA, Diabetes, Peripheral Neuropathy ... isn't that one a nuisance, as well as bladder cancer! Thank God I am having a grand day though! One day at a time! And my whole family loved Iglesias!Oh, Dear Old Salt, never mind it comes to us all in the end, I never thought it would with me, but it has in the last year along with a few minor things like a stroke and my heart stopping and worse my peripheral neuropathy. Thanks, Old Salt for your thoughts, as mine go out to you. Still, we have our memories and with good fortune they can't take those away, and I am not getting old yet. Thanks for Julio, on YouTube the song is sung to photos by the National Geographical Society, very nice.My sincere sympathy for all that you have gone through, @Avon!
