I guess Batman villain The Clock King loved his watches! On the 1960’s tv series, he stuffed Batman and Robin into the bottom of a giant hourglass to be suffocated by the “sands of time.”

I've always worn a watch on my left wrist{being a lefty} prefer silver Timex

And I threw my two cheap Timex away when I retired and
have not missed them at all......

I understand that Alexander the Great wore a kind of cloth that could serve as a sundial to tell time. The shadows on the folds.

It was known as Alexander's Rag Time Band.
