What have you bought recently?

I'm
@hollydolly Meds already hard at work, and I feel a whole lot better. I take one capsule twice a day for five days. Once it's gone, it's gone. Until the next time. Ugh.

Limit caffeine and stay away from carbonated beverages, which I do. I never drink anything carbonated and haven't for many years...like maybe 40?...and only one cup of coffee first thing in the morning. And lots of water. Lots and lots of water. I drink lots of water. Lots and lots of water. Don't know what else I can do. If I stop getting old...well...we know what that means!
Sorry! I hate, hate, hate, a UTI! Haven't had one in a long time, knock on wood. If I even think one is coming on I drink gobs of water and cranberry juice.
I also use Azo at the first sign. I think it will prevent it if caught quick enough.

Contemplating buying Abolene new cleansing balm on sale @amazon for 9.99 for 6 oz.
I have used regular Abolene as a makeup remover for years. 12 oz is about the same price.
Should I stick with the tried and true or break out and splurge on the supposed good stuff?
🤔

Flowers. I got flowers at one garden center. Lots and lots of flowers and used Mother's Day gift cards. Spent $14 and change of real money. The other garden center didn't have anything I wanted so still have one Mother's Day gift card and $39 left on one I already had. I'm waiting for them to get Mexican petunias.

All the flowers except three balloon flowers have been planted.

The garden is starting to look pretty darned good.

Except for that $14+, I didn't spend anything else.

DH went to DIY center today for something hardware-y and returned home with the object of his quest plus one each of Thai basil, Italian basil and Roma tomato plants.

I use Thai basil leaves for make-your-own spring rolls throughout the summer. Always a fan favorite that works with all dietary plans!

Books...and I'm annoyed. I pay for Prime, before I ordered the books it stated they would be delivered tomorrow.. ( that's today because I ordered them yesterday).. today I got the notification from Amazon that my order would be delivered on the 23rd... the 23rd ??.. that's 9 days from when I ordered them !

I'd be pretty peeved, too!

I am.. in fact I was wondering if I should contact them and ask why..
I would call, you pay for a service. It maybe that a third party vendor does not have the product available but that would be their fault, not yours. If the order is delayed, you should be given a discount by Amazon. Your contract is with Amazon not the third party vendor.

I would have understood it if it had been one seller, but this is a delvery from 3 different sellers.. . I wouldn't have ordered them if it had stated delivery would be longer than one or 2 days

Returned a dress I bought yesterday. Decided it was going to a wrinkling nightmare. Bought a small, cream-coloured shirt. The large sign was mislabeled as $15 and I was pleasantly surprised to see it scan in at $10.

Two kinds of moisturizing skin cream with SPF 25 and 30 to use on my legs or arms. The heavier ones end up on my furniture or car seats.

I need asparagus. It’s all gone from my fridge.

I'd rather tie a pork chop to my butt and jump in a lions den than go to the mall so where did I let mama sweet talk me into going today ?.......yep, the mall.

With me lugging around her heavy purse for her (I swear there's bricks in that thing) we wandered around for about an hour and ended up in J.C. Penny's and while she was looking around in the lady's undergarment dept. I wandered over to the jewelry dept. and the below watch kept calling my name.

I haven't worn a watch more than a dozen times since I retired back in 4-2015 and this one probably won't see a lot of wrist time either but it caught me eye and I just had to have it.

Not what you'd call an expensive watch by any means but Citizen has a pretty good track record and I just think it's plum purty........$129.99+ tax.

@IKE Your post deserves a "haha" and a "love" but the system won't let me do two. Haha about the pork chop and the lion's den and love about the watch.

I didn't spend any money today, but I'm gonna spend my kids' inheritance on ice cream tomorrow. Can you believe that I'm Out. Of. Ice. Cream????? Yup. Out. Next thing we know the sky will be falling. Come to think of it, the sky is falling...it's been raining for a couple of hours.

Prior to switching to Apple Watches, I had a few Citizen watches and they always worked well. Absolutely no issues with batteries dying. I like watches.

Lutein vitamins....which are arriving today.. along with a new set of kitchen Utensils.... and I'm very happy to report that my books are arriving today instead of the 23rd as they quoted... (y)
