Ok - new lens day - so I nipped out to one of my fave spots to try it out.

Nice medium TP. Same purposes a couple years ago I bought the Sony APS-C 85mm.

Actually, one cannot reasonably evaluate lens resolution or gamut by posting small downsized images on the web. Of course Oy knows that and isn't trying to make that point. One cannot post full sized 100% pixels images of popular DSLR/ILC cameras because of limited Internet bandwidth and if an image has value, it could be easily copied, stolen. It is easy to make a way downsized large image appear sharp on typical 1080p web monitors, much less tiny smartphone screens.

Yes - all that. Actually modern smartphones have more resolution that most average web monitors. My iphone is 2796 x 1290 Full HD+

This lens is a bit more than a medium TP. It's a full frame 1:1 F/2.8 Maco lens - and does make a great portrait lens too!
