Report shows most plastic bags dropped off for recycling get trashed

I also like to bag my own groceries because I want to bag things light. I've had 4 bags at the store and the bagger will put all the items in 2. No I brought 4 bags for a reason.

lol..you should live in the UK, we always have to bag our own groceries... unless we need specific help and then the cashier will help, but generally the cashier puts everything through at speed, and we have to bag them up at speed to save keeping the Queue waiting.. , so it's far easier just to throw them all back in the trolley and bag them at the car.

There have been times when I take my cart to the side and rearrange everything before leaving the store. At Trader Joe's, I try to bag myself as fast as I can. If I don't, their bagging usually isn't good. WINCO Foods only has self bagging (gratefully) and at other stores, I try to use self check out. I don't like baggers.

The only time we get baggers is when it's the boy scouts or similar who are raising money for charity.. but I rather just give them some money and bag it myself... :D
 

I prefer to bag my purchases. I bag according to the final destination - frozen items go in bag #1; milk-Bag #2; produce-Bag #3; cans/dry goods-Bag #4. Easier and less time consuming to put away the groceries.
