Have you ever thought of going back to school?

I have.

Nashville Software School teaches coding. I’ve thought seriously about enrolling.

I’ve also considered continuing education in a variety of other fields, just to increase my general knowledge base. Arts and Design, and Health and Fitness are two areas of interest.

What about you?

I’ve considered it but my mind just isn’t functioning well enough to start anything that demanding. I don’t think I could finish it but good for you for even considering it. You do so much Ronni but you seem like you are a little fire cracker that needs to be busy at all times, or just about. Its a good thing.

I’m a doer @PeppermintPatty! Always have been, always will be I guess.

Yes, I have. One of my former employees and I were forced to retire during Covid in 2020. She is now over 70 and took some online courses. She also earned her real estate license in WA state. She was told after the exam that less than 40% pass it. She is an inspiration to me, and I continue searching for online courses that might interest me and continue my education.

Some colleges have a program where persons over a certain age can attend classes for free. The college in Durango Colorado has that program. I am sure others do also. Worth a check into.

Yes. Med school. I didn't and I am glad because I would have graduated in 2020! Of course I had no way knowing such a thing would happen but I am glad now that whatever obstacles presented themselves, I didn't travel this course. I wouldn't want to be a doctor in this environment.

I went back to school at 47! I did it to strengthen my resume, as I wanted to change my career path. I did not think I would learn a lot new, but at the time I had a good resume with experience in leadership roles I knew adding an MBA would help me find a new direction. I went back to school entering into an Executive MBA program. I went to school all day on Fridays and Saturdays for 22 months.

It was hard, but very rewarding and surprisingly, I did learn a lot most of which I used in my new job. Additionally, I completely enjoyed the people in class with me and most of the professors. I am still in touch with many of them. I accepted a new job with Sony Corporation two weeks before my graduation. This was one of the best things I ever did!

Now that I am retired, We (Yep my wife enjoyed it too) look back on those times fondly...maybe I will try a PhD! ??

This is fantastic!! Go for it @Timewise 60+ !!!🎉

My Son tried to encourage me to go back to school and do a course. I told him , "Thanks for the encouragement but my brain is so full of knowledge at my age, nothing else can fit in to it".

Nope, I hated it when I had to go, later took a 1st aide course....it just reminded me why I hated school. However I loved to read still do.

I already have more degrees and certifications than I need and I no longer have academic, career or professional goals. I continue to read and learn for pleasure and the library/internet provide all the resources I need for subjects such as Physics and Astronomy so I see no reason to give bloated universities and colleges any more of my money. Or put otherwise, my answer to the question is NO.

I didn't finish high school, so I went to the Tech to get my GED. Then later I took a home study course for personal finance from the Tech. Both changed my life. Anything more, nah. To me books were always pillows.
