Felt out of place or not welcome

Weird thing happened this week in efforts to do something new spouse and I will visit markets that we might not have ....
Live in area with many small businesses opened to provide ethnic items not found for people who have moved here ....
we have gone to several bought interesting items to try etc

Always had good experiences and staff who were happy to help many products were not labeled in English but they seemed happy in sharing their culture etc and were very nice and happy we spent money in their store.

Recently went to a bakery specialized in breads and deserts from the Mediterranean..... weekend day small store front......... No customers inside ....we walked browsed ... the clerk was very short and tried to rush us along and out of the business ..... not even close to closing time etc.....
we want to believe just a bad day .........
or maybe he really did not think we should have came in ..... we bought several items but again he rushed the whole thing to almost push us out the door......
We had never had this happen before now not sure if we could or should return to bakery in future.
Do you think we should try again or write it off as they do not want our money...
 

This is only my opinion. I had an uncomfortable experience this week too.
Debated on how best to handle it.
Decided to let the situation happen, handle it innocently and naturally
and let it go from my consciousness!
It's a waste of energy to think about the behavior of others.
Of course go back if you want to taste their goodies again!

Perhaps we will enjoyed the items we bought it was just so odd to us as many small businesses always seem happy to expand their customer base ......... i was just writing it off as bad day ........ but hubby said as soon as we left ... that guy really did not want us in there.

Everyone has bad days. Perhaps he was having one, or not. Give it another shot. If you get the same treatment, you'll know whether you should just take your business elsewhere. I don't like spending my money with people who don't treat me nicely.
