Indeed. Couldn't their families have stopped them from going? Its like playing with Matches, sooner or later there will be a fire !!!
it was a no brainer of that crazy idea in the first place, ,, just heart broken
that this all happened in the first place,,
On the news this morning, they said they have a large machine that can lift airplanes off the ocean floor. So they figure if they can find it lifting it would work.Last night on the news, the commentator that was connected to the company stated that they had about 40 hours of oxygen left. His main concern was that the sub may be trapped in debris, which is what they worry with divers also. The Titanic sits some 13,000+ feet below the surface. I wish them all the luck in he world just to locate the sub. I don't know how they would raise it if it has no power.
That is an usually harsh and straight forward condemnation from NOAA.I thought I'd heard something about this, so I looked it up to be sure. This is from NOAA and now I'm thinking the site should be left alone and shouldn't have been treated as a tourist attraction in the first place.
16 U.S.C. § 450rr-4. NOAA has also determined that it is appropriate to treat Titanic as a grave site and maritime memorial to the victims, consistent with Article 2 of the International Agreement, which establishes Titanic as a maritime memorial.
You just have to hope they never have to use it.On the news this morning, they said they have a large machine that can lift airplanes off the ocean floor. So they figure if they can find it lifting it would work.
That wasn't a condemnation on the news story that the sub is missing... that's been on the books. (Some from decades ago Reagan era and some more recent... and still people go to gawk if they can afford it.)That is an usually harsh and straight forward condemnation from NOAA.
That's exactly right... they find it more and more difficult to find things to do that will excite them and more importantly to them than few others have done.I would imagine people with stupid amounts of money have a very different thought process when it comes to leisure time activities than we penny pinchers do. They've already seen & done it all in terms of lavish travel/vacations and adventure activities. It would eventually become harder and harder to find something intriguing to do so this sort of 'adventure' might just be irresistible to them?
I expect they give them a fancy title for their 1/4 of a Million ££££'sJust out of curiosity, the reports are listing one operator and "four mission specialists." That sounds odd to me... one's a diver, so I get that, but what makes the two million/billionaires and the 19 year old mission specialists? Or is that just to cover tracks for the company?
that's already been posted a few times here..My understanding is that they cannot open the door from the inside to leave the sub. So even if they made it back to the surface they could still run out of air if not found soon.
I don't understand what the co-incidence is ...An haunting coincidence is that Millionaire John Jacob Astor lost his life on the Titanic.
A millionaire lost his life on the Titanic, now another may loose his life looking for the Titanic, that is all!I don't understand what the co-incidence is ...![]()
