Giving away something you’ve created specifically for that person when they least expect it , is rewarding beyond words.A good gift given is beyond monetary rewards
An unmeasurable joy!

Incredible work. Love it. It's very apparent that you don't choose to do art work just to create art. You put thought and great effort into capturing character, and the essence of your interest. It pulls one in to the spirit of the person, animal, or rustic creation. That is a gift, and one that I can see in all your work. I admire it all.First time doing this. What if no one shows up?
Not scared but maybe a little nervous.
Oh, That's my porch but connected to the gallery.
It's a lot more fun creating things than selling them.View attachment 291832View attachment 291834View attachment 291835View attachment 291836View attachment 291839
THAT is one of the nicest feelings ever.Amen, sister
Did just that a few months ago
To a gruff ol' guy I reported to for a good lot of my career
He loved it
Called me, thanked me
but puzzled over the gift
asked why
'Just a little something in appreciation for all the lessons you taught me over the years'
It broke him down
Heard the tears in his voice as he said;
'That.....means.....everything...to me'
This from a man that's beyond wealthy
Has anything he wants
Heh, touched me too
Yes, 'immeasurable joy'
Oh! How beautiful!THAT is one of the nicest feelings ever.
I’ve given my husbands parents many things that I’ve made personally for them and they’ve always shown gratitude. Not long ago I painted a handmade card for him and added a personal poem I’d made up specifically for him. I’ve painted pictures for them before but this was completely unexpected.
He’d been getting cancerous growths on his head and having them removed but some were getting bigger and he was really stressed out about it.
When he called I could hear the genuine surprise in his voice and a soft tenderness when he asked about the poem. I know, without a doubt, that he was deeply touched.
THAT ^^^^^ is priceless!!!!
What medium are you using? Here's my last two paintings.View attachment 291891View attachment 291892
I think if your goal is altruistic, the money will simply follow.I know this doesn't make any sense but the important thing is creating, not making money.
Acrylic, oils, clay for bronze, ceramic, other clays, pen and ink; What medium are you using?
This type of thing would be harder to sell on Etsy. Etsys especially great if you sell small light things and offer free shipping. Many buyers use the ‘free shipping’ filter so they only view items with just that.My daughter sells her jewelry on Etsy (CrystalWarriorWings) but paintings and bronze sculptures don't sell well on Etsy.
Thanks for the idea though. You are so sweet!

At this point of my life I only want to do what makes me happy!
Well, This is a once a year "Art Loop" Studio Tour for three days. This type of thing would be harder to sell on Etsy. Etsys especially great if you sell small light things and offer free shipping. Many buyers use the ‘free shipping’ filter so they only view items with just that.
You sculptures would be heavy and your pictures large, making shipping cost excessive. It’s too bad cause your stuff is really good.
Have you considered teaming up with your local fire department, hospital, or other big corporations and offering say 10% to be donated to charity?
Does your closest town have other artists or random sellers? Together you could organize a huge yearly sale offering a percentage to a worthy charity.
The great thing about charities is that they already have the membership and supporters and they are often seeking different ways to advertise themselves, making it a win, win for all of you.
I wish you the best
I really enjoy these types of shows. See art, see the artist’s setting and all the countryside in the drive. Sitting here, I can see two pieces I bought from one of these outings. This is a once a year "Art Loop" Studio Tour for three days.
Happy to hear it!Just posting on here to tell all my friends I had a wonderful three day show.
Well, It stormed and rained all day today but yesterday was great.
I met so many wonderful people, which is great because I'm always in
such solitude. Thank you all for your wonderful comments of my work
and the art show was extremely successful!
