What have you bought recently?

when I was a kid , my mother rarely cooked, instead she would give us Campbells Beef meatballs , with boiled rice for dinner at least twice a week if not more... WE liked them well enough, ..but after I was grown I never had them again for years until one day I tried them again, and ewwwww..I was disgusted by the taste lol... ..I think they were withdrawn from sale eventually..and instead now I see these chicken meatball versions by Fray Bentos in the discount stores... not tempted to try it tho... :ROFLMAO:
They are quite nice...as are the ASDA version in tomato sauce

During my few mile urban street walk today, stopped midway at a Trader Joe's and first bought a Trader Joe's 99 cents apricot mango yogurt that I ate with one of their free wooden spoons outside on the walkway in while watching a nice dog tied to the fence while its owner was inside. Dog most reacted when two cute lively little girls came by with their parents as they immediately took to looking at their animal friend. Well of course I needed a lunch dessert, so went back inside and bought also for 99 cents as a single George Washington with an automatic tip, a dual dark chocolate peanut butter cup that are always at the side of some checkout isles.

Might add that the eyeglasses I mentioned a few weeks ago that I bought online at SmartBuyGlasses for $150, I have now been using a couple weeks and they are most excellent robust wire rim glasses with excellent optical characteristics. Were a $190 Italian designer frame on sale for $60. It can pay to patiently search online for good deals while paying attention to product details.

There was an automatic tip in a grocery store?

One of the nice benefits of where I live is having a TJ less than a mile away. Not only are their products nearly always wonderful, their employees are helpful, kind, personable and patient. Some who work at the local TJ's have been there for decades.

I spent money. I spent almost $100 but not on ice cream. I spent it on...wait for it...flowers.

The garden center finally had Mexican petunias. I only bought three. Thinking about going back tomorrow after work and buying three (or maybe four) more. The spot where they'd been before the nasty freezes killed them looked so bare that I couldn't not buy them.

@hollydolly You should probably mark your calendar. Again.

Maybe I'll buy ice cream tomorrow.

ETA: Oh...I also bought begonias and a curcuma. The $100 wasn't just for Mexican petunias.

Today aside from a bunch of groceries ..I also bought some new summer sandals. I have had the same summer sandals for years believe it or not ( given my predilection for masses of trainers and boots).. but last week for the first time since I was a kid, when I was out.. the strap on my sandals broke in half.

I really haven't had that happen to me with shoes for decades... anyway the sandals didn't owe me anything, so I got a new pair today... also 2 floral Kaftan jackets...

A while back, I saw a bag which I liked but, decided to be sensible as I don't really need any more. Happened to be passing the shop yesterday and, there it was, half price! So I bought it and saved some money at the same time 🥳 :)

Lol, the shoes buying. You and me both. Last pair husband bought for me were knee high boots circa 2012. I've a pair of shoes I've bought second hand in a charity shop back in early 98. They're still comfortable lol!

Good sandals are difficult to come by sometime. Good on you, if you've found a great pair again dear!

You know how I love purple? Nope? Well, you know now and, you know how I saved some money the other day? Well, I invested it in a purple linen shirt/jacket. You can never go wrong with purple (y) :)
Did you say purple? Just love it to bits!

In astrology RED is for Aries and BLUE is for Taurus (hubby and daughter love blues). How to decorate with two primary colours, you blend down to purple, bestest solution.

Also if you've got the colouring of a darker shades you look sick in browns and greens, but purple suits us well.

Only problem is whenever you have the chance to update your decor and the current seasonal trend doesn't include our favourite purple colour, oh the frustration lol!

I'm an Aries, always loved Reds... but I rarely have anything red now. I do have one feature wall in my livingroom in Red wallpaper... and a pair of shoes in red.. but really aside from that, I rarely have red any more, I feel as I've got older it doesn't suit me as much.

Coincidentally.. My husband is also Taurean.. he's never shown favour for Blue.. altho' I always bought him Blue shirts of various shades so he wore them of course..... he prefers black or grey... very dull..

Yes, I remember you're Aries with Taurus hubby. Same here! Daughter's Taurus, son was Libra.

Purple is an acceptable colour for mourning I read somewhere. Only wear red when something really uplifts my mood. 👍
