I am a fan of Professional Boxing and I have ordered up on Pay Per View for my flat screen TV the biggest money fight in the history of Professional Boxing. The fight will cost me $100 billed to my TV Cable account. I will host 14 people in my apartment to watch the fight and have charged them $10 each. I will be able to cover my cost and will furnish refreshments. I have never had more than four people in my apartment at one time so this will be interesting. I have arranged good seating and everyone should be comfortable.

Hubby was talking to 19 yo grandson last night and trying to get him to get his dad to order the fight so we can all watch it lol. Having several people coming to town for the weekend to attend granddaughter in law`s baby shower on Sunday. He has a bigger screen than we do and speakers and HD and all that so it would be great to watch it there. Problem is,my daughter is dragging him to a Kenny Chesney/Jason Aldean concert in the Bay Area on Saturday so he won`t be here to see it. He is not a happy camper. I like your idea of a collection-maybe we`ll do that and just host it at our daughter`s house and pay him the money for ordering it. Hmmmm.....

Now I remember why I quit watching boxing. I saw the free streaming version but it cost me an hour of good sleep. Two or three decent rounds and the rest was a waltz. I'm retiring from boxing.....again.

I think this hyped up match is boxing's last Hurrah...two somewhat aged fighters, well past their prime. In recent years, it seems that mixed martial arts has replaced traditional boxing as the bigger audience draw. Years ago, during the Ali/Frazier/Foreman days, boxing was the big thing. Then Mike Tyson came along, and he left a sour taste in most peoples mouths. There hasn't been anyone in the heavyweight division, in years, that has captured the public's attention...I can't even think of who the current champion might be. The promoters did a great job of hyping up this fight last night, and they and both participants will get a ridiculous sum of money....but in the end, boxing, as it used to be, is a dying venue.

You can be damn sure that last nights fight was about as fake as it can be.
They are now working on a rematch after seeing just what fools will pay to see these fights. And of course the next fight will be in the exact same location in Las Vegas, its where all the suckers are.

I was watching some of the Pre Fight coverage last night, and one of the reporters stopped a guy who had a ticket, and asked how much he paid....the guy said $70,000...Good Grief. That is absolute proof that some people have Way TOO Much Money.

Well, Lon, how was it?
Did you and your friends enjoy the fight?
Do you think it was a good fair fight?

Come on give us your review, after it was your $100.

The world watched a man who had seven domestic violence violations charged against him and didn't care! What does this say about how far humanity has come? No answer required...
