Have you given your car a name?

No never. Not too automobile oriented beyond vehicle functionality, much less a serious car enthusiast. For those that are, fine, it is good to be passionate about some things.
 
2012 Chevrolet Sonic, 1.8 liter 4 cylinder, automatic. Red with a grey interior. Bought new in 2012, now has just under 80k on the clock ( 48 thousand miles for the Americans on here ).

Named...The LAST car we will ever buy.

Starts every time, even at minus 25C, and the original factory battery lasted nine years, before it needed to be replaced. Oil and filter twice a year, when we swap the summer tires/rims to the winter ones in November, and back again in May to the summer treads/rims . Brake inspection twice a year, when the tires are off, and a general visual inspection and lube of all the moving parts, like door and hood hinges, and throttle cable. The 4 cylinder gets around 35 miles per gallon in the city, and 48 mph on the highway, at 2500 rpm on 87 octane fuel. The original spark plugs are still in it, cleaned once a year, by me. A/C is nice and cold, the radio CD player works nicely, and the Wife likes the short turning radius and good forward and rear visibility while parking it. Four doors, with a fold down rear seat that allows us to move larger items . Peppy and fast up to around 190 KPH. Built in Korea, by G.M Canada.

My old Canadian Vintage Modified race car was a 1934 Chev 3 window coupe, with a 250 cubic inch inline six engine, punched out to 300 cubic inches, with a 500 CFM holley carb, a high lift ISKY cam and forged pistons and rods, running on Sunoco 360 race gas. Mine was Hudson powered... of course, back then, it wasn't considered vintage. :cool:

yep , my husband named ours Big red? Will get an antique car tag soon and can't seem to take that step to get a newer car. Tags and insurance will eat you up in Ms. Sure has been a good one too!
 
I had an English Ford Cortina wagon (estate car) which we called "Henry". It was followed by a 64 VW convertible that was dubbed "Adolf". Following that I did not own a car, I drove a series of company cars for the next 20 years.

These looked like so much fun for camping and traveling. I didnā€™t realize how spacious they were inside or look to be.

Our '93 GMC I call 'Jimmy'
over 250K miles on him
The last 50K have been pretty gentle
Still runs great

I call my '99 Wrangler 'Little Joe'
(as in the song, if you don't know)

Bought Little Joe new
same time we bought our cabin property
Has over 250K miles on him
Not all easy miles
But he has yet to complain
Faithfully got us to town and back thru 6 winters (100 mi round trip)
Sometimes sideways (deer in the road)
But always wheel side down...in one lane or the other
