Mitch McConnell stops talking at new conference

A mini stroke? They say people can dose off for micro naps as well.

Dehydration can make one wosey. Especially if in and out of ac because body can't gauge temperature or hydration properly. Also ac can dehydrate as well. Throw in heat and sweating it's a recipe for hydration issue. The body dips into it's blood supply when too dehydrated.

Setting any politics aside he needs to work on his health not policy at this time.

Today Dianne Feinstein had to be told "just say aye" when she thought she was supposed to give a speech.

Old age issues are unforgiving.
To briefly play devils advocate not only have both had medical issues over the last few years but this shows how a political office works. They delegate and wind up being handled sometimes literally. There are too many issues and bills the only thing they will know about is from a a minute or two briefing before a meeting or vote. One must be a quick study on issues they have no experience with or knowledge of. Also a good memory.

In some respects this shows how things really or what really goes on in that the politician is waiting for advice or instruction as usual. Doesn't excuse their behavior or health but gives a glimpse of how things really work

Age catches up with Everyone....even politicians. With people like McConnell and Feinstein holding office.....and even the two frontrunners for the next POTUs....we are increasingly being ruled by those whose mental capacity is declining. The ONLY solution is for the voters to quit supporting these old folks who should be retiring.

This is concerning...I kinda feel sorry for him. He does look "old". :(

I watched the video. His retirement is long overdue. What is he waiting for? I retired from teaching 23 years ago and I am enjoying my "next chapter" of my life. I don't believe in working until the day you drop dead. Give room to the next generation and go fishing or just BS on the 19th hole of your golf club!

Talking about the voters. James Traficant ran for Congress while he was in federal prison and still got votes! Idiots.

Yeah... just a couple of weeks ago, Biden said (on camera so spin isn't going to rewrite it) that Putin is losing the war in Iraq. Makes ya wonder what would have happened if anyone else had said it.
Anyone who has followed Biden's career would know he has always been gaffe prone. Here is an example from 13 years ago:

In 2010, at a St Patrick’s Day reception for Brian Cowen, Biden got confused over which of the then Irish prime minister’s parents had passed away.

“His mom lived in Long Island for 10 years or so, God rest her soul,” Biden said, before catching his mistake. “Although she’s, wait. Your mom’s still alive. It was your dad that passed. God bless her soul. I gotta get this straight,” he said to a big laugh from the crowd." :ROFLMAO:

Happened today. No news for if something medical happened. After it was obvious something was wrong others led him away.

As an older person, my viewpoint is that these politicians and judges should retire from these public positions maybe before the age of 75 or younger.

I can tell that my brain is not what it was, and the best and brightest should be the leaders.
I totally agree.

Makes no sense that average elderly citizens have to take a special test to renew their driver's licenses, but politicians can remain in power until they're no longer breathing.

But stuff like that is an embarrassment to Americans. Not only is it not funny that our president forgot which close family member a foreign prime minister lost, it doesn't look good for Americans.

American presidents represent the American people. When our president is perceived as feeble, fumbling and weak, so is our country. Accurate or not, that's how it works.

Sure, the detractors take pleasure in focusing on meaningless behavior, rather than crediting the person for the greater achievements.

I agree with others who have said he and a few others (like Chuck Grassley and Dianne Feinstein) should move aside and let someone younger guide the ship. They have plenty of money to comfortably retire but they probably don't have lives outside of politics and they like the power it gives them. We've also all seen the result of Ruth Bader-Ginsberg's refusal to retire, as much respect as I had for her.

My mother used to have both epilepsy and Transient Ischemic Attacks. She would be talking and would just stop, become glazed over and talk nonsense when she started to recover. I'm sure that's what happened to McConnell.

I agree with you Lawrence. In fact I was thinking the same thing when I saw it on the news. He needs to retire. They claim he said he felt dizzy.
@seadoug I thought about epilepsy too, when I saw that. I remember years ago hearing that what you said happened with your mom sometimes happens with epileptics.
