That is amazing Holly! So, you are saying kids in London play games with marbles, learn to work yoyo's and play jacks? Hula hoops were a bit boring to me as a kid. But it is good to know they have made a comeback. But once you learned how to 'keep them going' you were expert. Marble games we played included betting some marbles you would lose if you did not win, made it more interesting. Yoyo's had a number of tricks you had to learn, like walking the dog, around the world, and rock the cradle...they were all games of skill...

My cousin has one, a black box with a dial, and it works. The ring is obnoxious. OTOH, my sons had never seen one before, so ....
Stilts…I had a pair of stilts when I was a kid, and they were made of wood, not aluminum or other metals. I could do anything on stilts, even walk backwards or jump! You don’t see kids using stilts much anymore, just another simple pleasure of childhood too “low tech” for kids today…

Oh no, you had to get me started...I miss Snail Mail and Pen Pals. I had 10-15 pen pals from all over the world in my teen years. Now nobody even sends letters anymore. Some of the kids today don't even know how to write in cursive!
I really miss a time when stores valued and rewarded their loyal customers. We got towels in our laundry detergent, Blue Chip or Green Stamps every time we went grocery shopping. There were prizes in the cereal boxes, and good prizes in the Cracker Jacks.
Now unfortunately, there are too many people and they don't try to win your business because if you don't buy their products, there are hundreds of people who still will.

I do have phones from re-decimal era I have the GPO 746's and 706... both with the letter dial and the number dial I also have the 1960's 712 Trimphones... I also have 2 300 series bakelite phone from 1939-1959

Never saw these here in the US.Does anyone remember these Nylon Overalls that all the women wore around the house in the 60's to keep their clothes from getting marked. ? My mother was the only one I knew who didn't wear one. My aunts, my friends mothers.. all wore one...

so many women wore them in the UK during the 60's and 70's... they were meant to keep their every day clothes clean from all the manual housework back in those days. My granny wore one of these

I loved my pair of stilts when I was a kid! I never throw them away- I passed them along to my children, and they passed it to their children - my granddaughter is capable of using the stilts! I am really proud about that!
I'd settle for a shoehorn. Those things used to be so cheap they were given away. Now I need one and they are really hard to find because cobbler's shops don't exist anymore.

Who remembers the neck tie? Strange sort of accoutrement, it was worn around the neck and tied at the throat.
It was worn by mostly by men, and although it was beloved of the professions, all ranks and stations in life wore a tie to work.
