What have you bought recently?

I think I must be unwell as, I wander around the shops and haven't been tempted to buy anything
funny you should say that... because I get unwell like that sometimes too ...:sneaky:🫣

Seriously tho' I was just thinking the other day when I was at the shops. just what a poor show of stock most of them have these days.. I think online shopping has really created a big hole in the high street..

I have gone off online shopping; You order something and it's either too big or too small or it's just not as nice as it looked online or, it fits, it's exactly what you wanted and then, you discover a hole or a frayed seam or, worse still, you spot a stain and realise someone else has worn it and sent it back; I once received a pair of trousers with a crumpled tissue in the pocket ☹️

I think the smaller ones look good but not sure about the bigger ones and the wardobe. Probably depends on the user though, I'd probably end up in hospital if I tried that!
well I'll let you know how it goes when I use mine....

@Jules I meant to say with regard to the furniture sliders.. I have very heavy storage beds.. which are too heavy for me to move by myself.. so I had the sliders put under the 4 corner legs.. so now when I want to move the beds sideways I can do it on my own without a problem..

I understand..I rarely buy clothes and shoes online because as you say they never look as they do online... but I have to say I've never had anything with holes in or worse.. a tissue in the pocket..yuk !

there's bigger ones to be had too...

These straps being used for such tall items as in this picture, appear that the item might somehow manage to tip itself over and take on a life of its own.:sneaky::eek::rolleyes:
Unless those two helpers are very coordinated, both with each other and within themselves.;):giggle:

Yet still seems better than if those 2 were trying to move that tall item, without any helpful tool!:geek:

Of course I realize that you were not recommending that particular team of moving helpers.😁🤣☺️
(Just adding my bit of humor, of course.☺️😄)

2 cases of Green Mountain half & half coffee pods from Amazon. I don’t have anything else to spend my money on, so I decided to splurge a little and buy 2 cases this time.

Painting supplies as my balcony is being enclosed in glass on Wednesday and then I can paint it. I was going to hire it done but it’s only 55 sq ft and the 2 long walls are glass. So decided to paint it myself. Bought 2 small comfy chairs and a very small electric fireplace for it. It will be nice to be able to use it year round.

That is honestly and seriously, impressive. (y)
Are they on wood floors, rather than carpet?
:geek:

I know you'd mentioned the different types of sliders, for each type of flooring, but I can't remember which ones you might be referring to, in this particular post....:unsure:

I have the sliders under my beds (on carpet)... and under the sideboard in the livingroom ( on carpet) and under my very heavy sofas..... I have them permanently under the fridge/freezer ( Hard floors) a stock of them in the barn, for using on both hard floors and carpet .

Thank you for that detail, (y):)
which you probably already gave  but repeated for me.☺️
(which I appreciate)
@hollydolly

I assume I'd need a hefty person, to put them under things, at first; is that correct?

yes ... and No... I had to get my estranged o/h to lift the items ..( this was before our split).. so I could put them under... but also No not ..now.. because there's a really easy to use tool that help you lift up the appliance or furniture so the slider can be slipped under the four corners...

it's cheap.. available on Amazon, and other places, and really doesn't take much strength to use it..

5 New tops for myself. 4 (one is buzz lightyear from Toy Story) New tops for daughter, a floral print pink summer dress and a pair of pink jeans. A baker's dozen of DVDs. All for two charities. Job done!

A blended Scotch called Glen Stag which was on special, couldn't resist. Got fresh bag of pearl barley for our soups as well as refill of Whitworth popcorn kernels for our home electric popper. Frozen broccoli for soup tonight and as veggies for steak Sunday night's dinner.

Various cake mixes to fulfill the comfort food desserts lol!
