......after she repeatedly se xually abused a 14 year old boy at a private school in Wisconsin.

OMG..!!!
How horrific for that child...

Anne N. Nelson-Koch was convicted on 25 counts linked to the attacks which took place in the 2016-2017 school year.

She would take the boy down the the unnamed school's basement to abuse him. Nelson-Koch was 67 at the time and the boy was 14.

The former teacher was convicted at Monroe County Court after a jury deliberated for five hours.

Prosecutors asked that Nelson-Koch be immediately remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on October 27. Judge Richard Radcliffe instead granted bail with a GPS monitor ahead of the hearing.

Monroe County District Attorney Kevin Croninger said she faces a sentence of up to six centuries behind bars.

Assistant District Attorney Sarah Skiles, the prosecutor in the case, added: 'The victim of these crimes is an incredibly brave young man.

'He spoke the truth, and the jury heard him loud and clear. We are so grateful to the jury for their dedication to finding the truth.'

Skiles also praised Paul Sloan of the Tomah Police Department, who led the investigation.

'We could not have achieved this outcome without the victim’s strength and Investigator Sloan’s dedication and thorough investigation,' she said.

She deserves jail just for being a senior and teacher. Those two groups should know better than the average person.

Setting that aside I think this was a case where the prosecution over charged on purpose hoping the suspect would take a plea deal. She tempted fate at trial and now will get maximums on every count.

Sex abuse is not a Capital offense in any State.
Yep, it was in Louisiana until 2008 when the Supreme Court found it unconstitutional. Kennedy v. Louisiana https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kennedy_v._Louisiana

If you read what Kennedy did it's hard to not have wanted the death penalty. From Wikipedia:

Patrick O'Neal Kennedy (born December 13, 1964), a man from Harvey, Louisiana in Greater New Orleans, was sentenced to death after being convicted of raping and sodomizing his eight-year-old stepdaughter. The rape, taking place in March 1998, was uncommonly brutal: it tore the victim's perineum "from her vagin*l opening to her anal opening. [It] tore her vagin* on the interior such that it separated partially from her cervix and allowed her rectum to protrude into her vagin*. Invasive emergency surgery was required to repair these injuries."

Just an overview, it gets worse... she suffered brain damage and other injuries she will never recover from. He rolled her up in a rug and threw it in the dump, assuming she was dead...

Hard to see how the death penalty is cruel and unusual for people like Kennedy, when its not for murderers...

I have to wonder if a male teacher ever got 600 years in prison for abusing a female student of 14.
Not that I approve, I just wonder about the sentence. I recall a teacher that I had in the 8th grade being accused of sexual abuse of an 8th grader (after I was in 9th grade) all that happened to him was he was booted out of that school.

I'd like to kill him myself, after I cut off his ***** and shoved it down his throat. 💀

How "brilliant are thou Great Judge!" A sentence of 600 years is pretty long. I hope there will be some sort of half way house program for her when she gets out?

I worked out the math! She will be out in 2623 if she behaves. If she does not behave; well, they might have to keep her longer like 900 or even 1,200 years.

Why do I keep getting more and more information that the world is going MAD? Crazy people are ruling the world. Normal folks need not apply!

She has been convicted on 25 counts but not yet sentenced. 600 years is the maximum jail term she could face if the judge sentences her to the maximum on each count.

Have to wonder what the evidence consisted of besides the word of one person. Not to defend this kind of behavior, but I also believe in guilt beyond a reasonable doubt as a basis for the American justice system.
