You know what helped me a lot, Beezer? For the first few weeks I held on to one cigarette and puffed on it (unlit) every time I felt the urge. The cigarette looked disgusting after a while so you might want to do what others suggest. Keep a glass of water nearby and sip it through a straw every time the urge hits you! Hang in there, it gets better. If you REALLY want to quit it's not so bad! Thanks all for the encouraging words.
I posted that Header from my laptop and something got lost in the translation. I haven't convinced myself I've quit. I figure if I can last a month, I'll be on my way.
If you don't quit you could end up like me. I'm on oxygen 24/7, all the things I used to enjoy I can no longer do without a lot of fuss. Even getting dressed is a chore. Thankfully at least we don't have to pay for all this stuff! Thanks all for the encouraging words.

I hope so, at a month it should be getting better. You're doing great, keep it up. We're watching!I figure if I can last a month, I'll be on my way.
Beezer, the reason it's so hard to quit is because you are not just quitting nicotine, the tobacco companies don't want you to quit, so to try and keep you addicted they spray the tobacco with additional addictive chemicals. Just keep going, and if you should light up, don't give up. Quitting isn't easy. but stick with it, with you all the way. Thanks all for the encouraging words.
