25 deadliest cities in the United States

Cleveland Ohio is #7 on this updated list. Stay tuned.

Big cities have high crime rate areas and its misleading to use statistics from those areas to paint a picture of the entire city.

Philadelphia had 561 homicides in 2020 or 2021. There are 1,500,000 people living there.
That's 0.04 % of the people living there.

Many of the shootings involved gang related violence in bad neighborhoods.

I believe Cleveland Ohio is one of the deadliest. I hear the morbid news stories every day.
I chased a murder suspect from western PA to just outside of Youngstown. There were 4 Ohio State Highway Patrol with me when we surrounded him just off of I-80. He was wanted for killing his girlfriend and her baby outside of Sharon, PA. I had a great shot at him, but one of the OSHP men took the shot and and hit him in the shoulder. He was later sentenced to death in Pennsylvania. That was at least 15 years ago and he’s still sitting on death row.

I am planning to post homicides by country in a week or so. Just have to find an abbreviated list unlike the one I chose to use on this thread. Waaaaaaay too much yaking and scrolling past ads. TTFN.

11. where did it go?

You might want to look for an article that is more recent. Your original article is using data from 2012 and 2013 - a decade ago.

Good point however my thread mentioned no dates and as such is generally not considered time sensitive on private or social media sites unlike Twitter. The remainder of my thread disappeared yesterday so I am going to move on from this thread and start another global crime thread as I promised to Tish and any other SF members who are interested. Feel free to post an accurate time sensitive deadly cities in the United States thread to replace mine if you will. Take care and enjoy your day.

do police ever...in all honesty,.. shoot to kill in situations such as that... knowing that the fugitive is a killer, and will likely be kept alive on death row for decades at the expense of the Tax payer...
