Some of my Vocals and Saxophone Playing ( Music )

Thanks guys. It’s my vocals but I’m always singing with another person. I think you’ll figure out who I am after listening to a few of them. I don’t have a professional microphone hooked up. I did but it didn’t last long so I had up to back to the cheap one that came with my phone.

It works like karaoke. The app supplies all the background music and you get to do what you want with it. I usually sing with others but I think I’m going to start recording some solo stuff with added saxophone.

Doing this is actually easy and a lot of fun so any of you who enjoy singing or playing an instrument, there are a lot of karaoke free apps of all kinds to do this kind of stuff. It’s a fun way to meet people. I don’t share much with the people I meet but after a while of making music/ songs together, you get to know people on a bit more intimate level.

You don’t have to be a great singer in order to participate and have fun. Whatever level you are at, there are others at the same level wanting and willing to sing with you.

You have the option of showing yourself via video or not. I always choose not. It’s an easy thing to learn and all you need are those cheap earphones that you get with your apple phone. That has to be plugged in or you will get all kinds of static.

Anyway, maybe this is MY equivalent of ‘bingo.’ 😂

Wonderful @PeppermintPatty . thanks so much for sharing. 🤗
Thank you for listening. ♥️
Absolutely beautiful!
Hey Kate. 🙋‍♀️ thx♥️
I'm impressed, I actually assumed it was a professional... guess maybe it was.

Keep on posting, these are great!
Thanks Rob♥️
You sound so professional! How does this work? Are the lyrics written down somewhere or do you need to know them? How do you record yourself? This looks like fun!
Thanks bunches. ♥️
Vey nice vocals @PeppermintPatty ! I enjoyed listening to them!
Thank you kindly. ♥️
Links work fine. I listened in Chrome browser on Android, so the sound would have been better if I'd installed the app. But yeah, you're sounding good there , Patty 🤗
Mucho Gracious! ♥️

Tonight I recorded this and dedicated it to all of you here at Senior Forums. I hope you like it.

Do you have an iPhone?
This singing app is made for phones only and all you need is your iPhone and the earphones / mic that plugs into the bottom.

This app costs approximately $60 a year Canadian which is something like $40 plus American.

You’ve played violin so have some musical background and have computer skills which will make this is breeze.

You join. I think there might be a free trial, not sure. I have a VIP membership.

There’s a library that has all different types of musical genres like ; rock, pop, country, classical, ballets, love songs, etc OR if you know the name of songs you like there’s a search button.

Here’s what a section of the library looks like.

You click on the version of the song you like best. It’s usually in different keys so you can pick the best key for your vocal range.

Once you click on the song it will then ask if you want to do a solo or create a two part duet for others to join or join someone else’s song.

You can even create your own parts if you like OR song one part and go back to double track and add other parts , like harmony, or add an instrument. I usually add my instrument solo on the same track.

If you want others to join you then you’ll have others sing with you. That’s how you get to know others. Some people might have similar tastes as yours.

They have all types of competitions so you get lots of exposure but I’ve never joined one. I stay super low key here.

You can even sing with celebrities if you want.
There’s a place to sing live with others if you’d like. Another thing I’ve never done. Today I only just discovered how to share my songs.

It’s a lot of fun. I think you’d like it.

There are free karaoke apps though
In fact, I think there’s quite a few
I picked this because I heard a lot about it and it’s very user friendly.

The software is very professional and yes the words are right in front of you and light up so you know when to sing each lyric.

You can practice as many times as you want before you record and even if you do record something and don’t like it you can delete it.

It’s fun! Come join.

Thanks so much for explaining it to me! It does sound like fun! One of these days....when I have time, I might tinker with it. I will have to print out your directions, too. Meanwhile, keep on sharing with us! :)
