My family moved here in 1970. Happy to say the smog problem has improved dramatically over the years.@StarSong so you are one of those many in Los Angeles with a home with a pool in the backyard. Love it! I was born in downtown Los Angeles. My mind can still imagine how its unique 1950s smoggy smell used to be and how that would change on a day we little kids would be driven down to the salty seashore ocean smells of Santa Monica beaches.
Today I am still thinking about yesterday and what I have to do after lunch.
I was out with a friend for coffee and we dropped in to the local Goodwill store.
They had been advertising a blue ticket 50% off sale for about a week so not much left but I did pick up a
Liz Claiborne shoulder bag, brand new, priced at $12.49.
Just the right size with pockets inside for keys and mobile etc. Perfekk
Well I get to checkout and hey !! .. it has a blue mark on the ticket which I had not noticed so I got it for $6.25 no tax.
I had deposited a lot of my good china with them ( broke my heart for about an hour) the previous week and noticed it was all sold so the young checkout girl said it was pay back time for me.
So about after lunch.
While in the Goodwill drooling over my new bag some monstrous flying thing deposited a load of green sh*t on my windshield and the sun had baked it on so I have to get a bucket and scrubber and get to work on it...grrrrrrr.
Ah well it was a good day all in all.

Stay safe! 🌩Hurricane/tropical storm update: It just started raining here. Wind is gusty but not too bad yet. A stay at home day. Obvs.
Will do some invoicing in a little while, then plan to catch a few Little League World Series games today. Love watching the kids and the announcing team can't be beat. We've followed the LLWS for over 40 years. Wouldn't miss it.
If you've never watched it, you might want to tune into ESPN (US) to see what I'm talking about.
I hope you didn't get hurt!!!!Today is going to be cooler again. This will be our second day below 100 in two months. I am two days out from a car accident that totalled my poor car….and am sort of car shopping online. I think I will probably get about one third what i can replace my vehicle for from the insurance company. I am hoping for rain…
Well, hopefully soon I can eradicate the problems with all these preventive measures I'm taking.I'm still taken aback, Dobielvr by the fact you have Racoons and RATS....ugh !!![]()

. Hopefully we can just laugh when The Universe plays these tricks on us!
We got some rain last night and it looks like some wind too. Not too bad, but it did blow my cushions off my lounge chairs outside.Hurricane/tropical storm update: It just started raining here. Wind is gusty but not too bad yet. A stay at home day. Obvs.
