Patty's Artwork - Watercolor, Acrylics, etc.

This paint-by-number acrylic painting was also time consuming, especially getting the columns and buildings and windows right, but I had fun doing it! I wish I can paint like this without the numbers, but they give me the foundation that I can work from and then stamp my own identity on them. Also, the paints are already premixed and I have kept them to use on other paintings.

Another paint-by-number acrylic that I did. I went around the house taking photos of all of them to share with you. I think the flash from the camera washed out some colors in this painting. I have about 14 acrylic paintings (I gave a few away). All these paintings came from Amazon. This was one of the earlier ones. I am grateful to those artists who made this easy for amateurs like me eager to paint.

I have placed this acrylic painting I did in one of the bathrooms. Again, paint-by-number. This one also took considerable more time, especially working on the fine details like the paved road, the trees, etc. When I focused on where the light came in, that helped, so I was able to emphasize the light and dark colors more, making it more realistic, if that makes sense.

This acrylic painting hangs over my desk. It was one of my later paintings before I stopped doing them (when I got busy with my studies!). What happens with paint-by-number is that once you paint over all the numbers, then that's where the fun begins. Without the numbers to guide you, you start adding your own colors to make the painting your own.

All very nice. My father's sister was an artist, good enough to give exhibitions and teach, but I didn't inherit any talent in that area.
Thank you, @debodun! I don't have any artists in my family, but I enjoy art! This enjoyment is what spurs me on to complete these art projects and the process of completion brings me pleasure.
